Great app but the UI overhaul introduced some issues.
Can no longer log in after update
Good app, basic feature behind overpriced paywall
Best Whisk(e)y App
Great for all Whisk(e)y lovers!
New interface takes getting used to
I’m still unable to login via Apple ID, but I was able to reset my password, so I use my email address to login instead.
I like the website’s Recommend feature, and I hope that comes to the app soon. Also, can you add a search or index for the articles? I would like to be able to refer back to older articles without having to scroll to find them.

Hi Jeff, thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. I've passed your feedback along to the team about wanting us to bring back the old flavor profile and to have sort settings persist across sessions. These are really helpful and constructive suggestions, so they mean a lot to us. We'll be hard at working improving the app every day, so there are lots of important updates to come. Cheers!
v7.x = Dumbed down design FAIL!
The new design is AWFUL! They seem to have succumb to the bad advice of some digital guro, drank the digital kool-aid, embraced this obnoxious trend within website and app design, and wrongly concluded that consumers want oversized pictures and excessive white space! The size of pics and use of white space in the previous design was much preferable. Making more efficient use of vertical screen space, resulting in a nice balance between list efficiency and visual appeal.
On the list view in the new design: the header, search field, “Add spirit” button, and bottom navigation bar … combined with their supporting white space … use 50% of the screen’s vertical real estate. 50%!?! That means the actual list can display NO MORE than two items in the available space.
As other users have noted in their reviews, the helpful information that was offered in previous versions has been dumbed down to the point the app offers no value. The previous “Flavor profile” graph, which was very useful and intuitive, has been replaced with a useless heat mapped horizontal line.

Hi John, thanks for your feedback. Be sure to update to the latest version of the app, as the old flavor profiles have been re-added. Each page will now display both the "Top Flavor Tags" as well as the "Flavor Profile" that you were used to. As for your feedback on the Lists view, that is something we're addressing with future releases. All other information on spirit pages is still available as before, just designed in an easier to read way. Would you be open to emailing us at hello@distiller.com with some more specific feedback so we can work on addressing your concerns? Cheers!
