  • Life Healthy

My health insurance offered me this planned at no cost to me. So I signed up and it has been a life-changing experience. At first not many pounds came off, but the change in how I felt made it all worthwhile and I kept going forward with the weekly lessons because I just felt so good. I dropped 60 points in my blood pressure which put me down into a normal range for the first time in my adult life. Along with blood pressure medication and lifestyle changes on this plan. my hips no longer hurt while I’m walking. I dropped a pant size without even much loss on the scale. I sleep better; for the first time in 30 years I’m getting a good nights sleep. And all of this is happening without counting calories, but making lifestyle changesBoth physical and mental. It is helping me so much in all areas of my life. Who knew when I signed up that this plan was more about a whole life improvement rather than just dropping a few pounds on a scale. And now that I’ve changed my physical and mental health the pounds are starting to drop and the scale is my friend again
  • Waste of time

This app and the coaching is a joke. I’m losing weight but it has nothing to do with this app cause it’s a PITA to use. I am not going to put a passcode on my phone just to use an app. I figured out a bypass for that. Then the scale doesn’t talk to the app so I had to wait for the tech dept to turn on the ability to manually add my weight which took several days. If you know that’s an issue just have that in the app to begin with. The lessons are a joke. Search the Internet for healthy eating, sleeping, and exercise cause it’s the same guidance you’ll get in app. Generic platitudes and no actual information geared specifically for you and your issues with your reasons for being overweight. I could gain a 100 pounds and I’d still get “good job. Don’t give up”. You just enter the food you eat and there’s “no judgement” which means there’s no feedback on what you put in at all. No suggestions on things you could change to lose weight. I haven’t logged a food in 3 months and not a word from my “coach”. Not sure how much my insurance company is paying them but it seems like it’s a money making racket to me.
  • Wouldn’t have been my first choice

While I do like that my device is free through my insurance, I do not like that the app does not allow weights to be deleted. Yesterday, I weighed in twice, both with significantly lower weights than usual (by 7-8 lbs). Today, I weighed in 4 lbs more than yesterday’s weight so clearly yesterday’s weights are wrong. Can I just delete them? Nope. I have to email them and explain why I need them deleted. I’ve also had to do this because other people stepped on my scale without knowing that it would log on my account. Omada needs to allow us to delete incorrect weights from our own apps without having to write into their customer service. I’m sure they have other things to deal with.
I also don’t like that it doesn’t give you a read out of water weight and muscle mass. Those are the things that really matter with weight loss. But it’s free and beggars can’t be choosers, right?!
