My credit card has been charged and I have no car park
The owner of the car park I booked accepted the booking and said she would meet me to give me access. Now a day later is saying that she no longer wants to rent it out. Parkhound has already taken the payment for a month and a deposit of $200 on top for a key security deposit.
This app needs a serious overhaul
This app is so hard to use. I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced it using an app that is so dysfunctional it’s almost not even worth trying.
When you look in specific areas, you can’t even put a date range for search in, and when scrolling through the different car spaces, sometimes, even though you were clicking on a different spot, the physical listing doesn’t even change, and when you try and click the button to go back, it is so far up the top left-hand of the screen and also sitting on top of a function for the phone itself, most of the time the back button doesn’t work
I tried to make a booking and it told me that the owner of the car space had to confirm the booking and then the next morning I received a confirmation and the owner of the car space hadn’t actually confirmed and that park Hound had confirmed on their behalf, which then meant I had been charge for the booking and I couldn’t even use the space. And while I did get a refund. The multiple times that I have physically tried to contact Park hound asking questions, I have never had a response. You need to lift your game.
And one more thing. You need to put in height restriction limits for physical car spaces. Probably one of the most important things when you are a company renting out garages through third parties

Poor app - very laggy - not in sync with website
I tried the app first and it wouldn’t let me create a listing. I switched to the website and was able to create the listing, but it took 5 days to show up in the app. Even now when I try to edit the price or any other detail in the app, it either won’t save the change or it automatically shuts the app down. Very frustrating experience - we’ll see if it improves or the listing at least generates some income.

Has potential, but not yet fit for purpose
Parkhound has potential, but unfortunately their is no protection for people wanting to lease a car space.
My car park was advertised as secure and private, but I noticed scratches and damage almost immediately after using the car space. When I checked the camera footage my secure car space was being used extensively by the building tenants as it was close to the door.
Parkhound didn't offer any adequate support other than quoting the only protection for renters which is “you only have protection for the first 48hrs of a booking”. So I had to pay an entire month for a car space that was not as described, and my car was damaged in the process.
I wouldn’t recommend Parkhound until they have better protections for both parties.

Easy to use but lose money
I found a car park quickly bu using this app. But the last month, after I got charged by Parkhound, the ownership of the car park changed and I cannot use it anymore, I report it immediately and after 1 month, no one contact me from Parkhound. There is no customer service. That means I paid for nothing. And I still did not get my deposit back till now. Think well before you register your credit card in this App.

Spam app
Parkhound sells your data to third parties. After registering I suddenly got all these calls from overseas that are disguised as local/mobile numbers. I know Parkhound is the culprit as I didn’t trust the app initially so I registered with an anonymous email and every time I get one of these spam calls I question who they are and they confirm my email which is the same anonymous address I registered with. Evil company.

Parkhound the company good.... the app is terrible though!
I have no problems at all with Parkhound, and have used the services with no issues. However if you are going to use them - use the website!
This app is so glitchy, it just doesn’t work. I’m not sure how much business they lose to customers trying to book and give up!

Response from developer
We're sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with the app. We're very busy at the moment working on improvements and bug fixes, but it would be incredibly helpful if you could contact us at team@parkhound.com.au to let us know the exact issues you were having.
Great App
I use this app in Austria. Only way it could get better would be if they would launch in the US
Great customer service
From my experience this app has the most parking spaces available to lease for Melbourne. Works well showing locations on a map.
Needs work on messages
Messages are confusing and don’t work properly. Also you can’t click on the person your talking to in messages to see their profile which makes it hard to keep track of exactly what space you are enquiring within. I like the concept however still needs a lot of work and car parks are stupidly over priced!
