Lord’s Prayer
I’ve been doing centering prayer every morning using the app. I don’t start my day with out it. So helpful for my spiritual life. I use the ending with Father Thomas saying the Lord’s Prayer. I wish that would be offered today as a ending prayer. Mine started many years ago. My friends can’t use it as it’s not offered. Please put it back as a choice for ending prayer. Best timer
I very much prefer the timer in this app over other apps that seem to turn meditation into a competition by showing you your consecutive days and accumulated minutes etc. This app focuses on facilitating centering prayer in a very effective way. I enjoy the option of adding a simple verse to begin and my favorite ending sound is the closing bell with Thomas Keating slowly reciting the Lord’s Prayer.Show lessLJC—

We’ve loved and used this app for years! It’s wonderful, and the only suggestion/request that we have is that we would love the ability to customize the prayers - to insert our own prayers that we might want for the opening or closing. Also, we would love the ability to change our background. But thank you for this beginning app format - it has proven extremely helpful for our practice and presence with God.Show lessCynthiaPS

A wonderful companion for centering prayer time
The app feels more like a friend than a device. I’ve had a centering prayer practice for nearly 30 years, but I didn’t know about this app originally. (Maybe it wasn’t out.) Over the years I’ve chosen many different opening scripture passages, usually memorizing them after being with them so long. The same with the background images. I like the seasons, but over the years I’ve been drawn to different ones, which seem just right at the time. I prefer the gong sounds for opening and closing, but there are a variety to choose from which should meet anyone’s needs. I’ve recommended this app to so many people, and they’ve found it very helpful for their centering prayer practice. Easy to use, and such a variety of options.

My North Star to the truth
I can’t put into words what Centering Prayer has meant to me but that it brings me daily back to the truth. I can create the meditation that most clearly speaks to me and is flexible so I can change it when it feels necessary. And it is my own personal experience and relationship with ever healing silence which brings me into the heart of the world and the heart of the Creator.
