  • Typing issue, otherwise ok working with wayland

Problem writing upper case letter with iPad pro 9.7 keyboard case. Upper case can be only be written if pressing keyboard icon and pressing shift there, not working with physical keyboard shift key or apple touch keyboard shift key also. Please fix.
  • Yeh not good

I’ve tried out a number of remote access apps over the past few days and I can say this is the worst of them. If you actually get it to work, you will find that the app display allows you to set it to extremely small or full screen size but with the iPhone X notch taking out a chunk of the screen. So it’s either too small or Notch in the way. I couldn’t get anything else to work.

And when you’re trying to connect to your computer for the first time and out of no where this app prompts you for “username” and “password” without actually telling you where that comes from....yeh well turns out that’s actually your computers user name and logon password. I hope that information can’t get leaked somewhere!? No other app I’ve tried has done this before. They all get you to create an account with them and login with that for the first time and then from there (once the original connection is sorted) maybe make an in app smaller password for quicker access. This username and password thing had me stumped for ages, and there was simply no explanation anywhere, just a blank page of username and password.

And I couldn’t get 3G/4G to connect whatsoever. This is the first app to have that problem. I’ve put in my IP details and it just keeps timing out. Terrible.

The display settings thing is just a mess. No matter what I toggled, the screen was really either too small or full screen. There’s heaps of resolution levels but it all just seems to amount to nothing.

When I was connected over wifi, this app even felt slower than the others.

    Avoid this.

    Developer Response

We're sorry to hear you had problems using the software. We aren't aware of any connection or usablility issues related in particular to the iPhoneX that you've described. We'd like to investigate them one by one if you agree, and to do that you should reach out to us directly using the Contact Us link in the footer of our website, or you can come to the forums.nomachine.com. Thanks!
  • Quality deteriorated

Very disappointed with this latest release. I use an iPad Pro, and the fonts are noticeably blurry - they were never before. I've tried all manner of things on the server side to correct, but to no avail, and anyway the issue is clearly due to this new client release.

I understand that the release was targeted more to the iPhone. I get it, but as an iPad user I am just not happy.

  • Remote audio cannot be played with Bluetooth AirPods

It always plays in the speaker, please!
Thank you for the great job.
  • Not optimized for iPad Pro

It is still not optimized for iPad Pro (12.9"), arguably the most important device this app should be supporting.
  • Linux and Windows with sound

This app work nicely with Windows 10 and centos7. I have installed other apps before and struggled with getting sound specially in Linux distro. This app solved the sound problem and the interface is very clean and intuitive. It even finds available VMs in the network automatically.
Thanks developers for making such a great app for free.

  • Really effective tool

As with NoMachine on Linux, Mac and Windows, this gives me reliable emergency access to my servers and desktops, both version 5 and 3.5.

The ability of the NX protocol to be usable over low bandwidth links is second to none.

Just a suggestion for improvement: please can we have an update to support use on iPad Pro at its native resolution?

  • Only One Big Thing Missing...

I love NoMachine on my workstation & some servers as it trumps VNC and is cross platform. There seems to be only one issue I have with NoMachine for iOS, though. I have multiple monitors on my primary system at home and cannot connect to just one of them nor choose which to connect to. If you could add this, I'd do 5 stars all day. Until then, I cannot use it. Thanks!

  • Works Perfectly!

After easily installing NoMachine on both my laptop and my iPad, I can now see and use Mint Linux desktop on my iPad. It looks great and is easy to use with provided finger gestures. NoMachine even corrected the display resolution to fit the iPad, then changed it back on the laptop when I disconnected.

  • No 2FA

Nice app, but doesn't support two factor authentication.
