  • Not bad, but….

all notifications clear upon viewing the latest notification at the top of the group in iPadOS 15’s Notification Centre. Plus, I should see more news listed than the news story for just the notification I tapped. Only upon app closure and relaunch do I see other news stories. Also, the ui could use a huge overhaul so it’s modern.

  • My opinion

One of the greatest apps ever,,,, i don’t need to search for scientific news, it is already on my hands,, but.. there is one thing that I want it to be added for the next version ..which is a specific topic for genetics..that’s all..thanks 🙏🏻🙏🏻
  • Gives me hope

My wife is afflicted with MS. I like this app because I have faith in mankind. I know that if we can appeal to the Angels of our better natures, that we will progress on and on to the point that we will be thought of as Gods by the ancients, whose shoulders we stand upon. A hearty thank you from a person with limited intelligence (me) to those of you who excel in math, science, and the medical field. The one concern I do have is that we understand and keep control of machines when they become self aware. Build them very carefully with proper safeguards. I do not think we can deny they are coming because the country that fields them first and in a war winning scenario will be invincible.

  • Best free aggregator for content but app is extremely glitchy

In-app browser is extremely glitchy and makes me want to delete the app most times. I actually got rid of app for a long time bc it got so bad. The other options had far worse content or were paid so I returned to this one. Great aggregation picks but please fix the in-app browser.
  • The absolute business.

Informative, interesting and (mostly) easily understood even by a layman kike me).
  • Science News

Great news, enjoyable to have discussions, although I would like more biology news
  • Advertising

I reloaded this app after a lapse of some months, to be greeted by a beardy bloke shaving on a pop-up, annoying and unnecessary invasion into my life; needless to say, I did not bother to wait for him to disappear, I immediately left the site without having read a single word of scientific interest, as I have no intention of being bludgeoned with this inane tripe that the publisher wishes on me.

  • Great news resource but needs to be updated

Great science news source but this app needs to be updated for stability. It crashes or freezes often. Doesn’t transition well from advertisements and freezes instead of returning to app functionality. The screen is not fully visible on iPhone 12 Pro so the app is not optimized for latest technology. Love the information but the navigation and stability of the app needs much improvement.

Videos have never displayed sound and always crash. This has been the case since I began using this app years ago.

The Share function often crashes too or takes a ridiculous amount of time to share an article. I have begun copying the link and emailing it or texting it myself instead of using the app because it’s hit or miss and takes longer than it should.

  • Love it!

I used to subscribe to Science News back in the 80s and 90s when the weekly magazine was delivered by US postal mail. I finally gave up on them when the post office begin delivering them a week after the new stories occurred. I was delighted to find out that Science News now offers their stories online free of charge. I hope you love it as much as I do.

  • Slow with too many ads

I liked this app for years, good article selections, but it now has too many ads and is very slow to swipe to the next page or bring up a selected item. What just made me delete the app was having the opening screen come up with a full page advertisement that you have to click to open or cancel... and the text for the buttons was in Arabic or something similar! That is crazy dishonest - to make it a coin flip as to whether I can get past the ad or open it up to take me somewhere. I’m done.
