Diary
Its great that the diary can be used on more than one device. Mines on my iPhone and iPad and when set up it syncs between the devices plus backs up on Dropbox
I have recently had to send my iPad away for repair and if you have 4 or 5 years worth of memories it’s a big loss if not backed up.
I have not had had this diary for long but so far have had no problems whatsoever but will keep you informed
My only wish is that you could scroll through the pages to find the information you’re looking for instead of opening each day individually. What do you think developers.

I Love This App! Replaces Day One!
I just got my iPad Pro 10.5 for Christmas and looked for a new journal app that would replace Day One AND upload all of my Day One entries starting in 2013! The pro version at a good price does this very well. I followed the directions in the FAQs. It took awhile and when it said Done for downloading data from my Dropbox and an error for downloading attachments I was worried, but I hit continue. I was very pleased to see my 1,071 entries and my photos too! They were in a folder called Day One so I made another folder for my new entries just in case.
I love how easy this app is to use compared to Day One and I can easily put many photos in my entries. Haven’t tried other things yet, but so far I highly recommend this app! I was worried about losing my journal entries from Day One and I definitely do not want to pay a Day One subscription! Oh, and I can use this on my iPhone 7 Plus, this iPad, and my MacBook Pros online! I love it!

Was Not Happy but things are better!
Updated review:
The Diaro support team is great- they have taken care of the issue and I now have the pro version I wanted.
It appears that since the iTunes charge was pending (as iTunes often waits days to charge for payment) I never got the pro version. All I had to do was send a screenshot of the pending charge and the Diaro team fixed the problem and now I have the app.
I’m happy with my experience and I’m looking forward to my Diaro journaling!
First review:
Tried to enter this with no stars but I had to put in one for the rating to submit.
Bought the pro version but nothing has changed. The app won’t provide a way for me to contact the developer, it says I haven’t set up a mail account in order to email, even though I have signed in with my email and password. Have tried to email from the app page in the App Store, haven’t heard back yet.
I want to see that I actually bought the app. I don’t need it to keep inviting me to buy the pro version, and then when I do, have it tell me I already bought it. I don’t want to see ads anymore. I want to know that I have received what I paid for.
So very frustrating. Right now I’m ready to forget the whole thing and try to get my money back but will wait till tomorrow to see if there’s any change.
NOT HAPPY SO FAR!!!!!

Awkward to Use
It doesn’t default to current date and time when entering a new diary entry. Rather it will be on whatever day that you were last viewing entries.
Location services aren’t used. Rather you have to manually enter a location if it’s a new area. Other diary apps use Location Services to automatically enter the location of the diary entry.
Other diary apps also use attached photo metadata to auto set date/time and location if that service is enabled on your iOS device.
The author/developer of the app doesn’t respond to emails for advice or support. Poor form there.
There is no ability to search for tags. If you have a lot you need to scroll down until you find the required tag.
And finally, syncing between iOS devices and the web app is buggy. They don’t sync tags, locations properly. I have duplicates of all of them, or some are missing on either the iPad, iPhone or the web app. Again, reporting this has gone unanswered.
I was trialling this to see if it’s a worthwhile replacement for DayOne. If the bugs mentioned here are fixed then it will be.
It imports the DayOne data with no problems. Except that it imports it into its own folder. The user should be given a choice.
Finally, when viewing entries you’re in edit mode. I wish that there was a viewing mode where you can look at an entry and with nav buttons to go back and forth between entries.

Hello thank you for your feedback, we will be improving these in next update in around 2-3 weeks. Write me on info@pixelcrater.com , i will fix your duplicate tags, locations issue.
Best diary to have when you have more than one device
This app is fantastic. Love the way it syncs between my iPad and Samsung mobile. The tags are great and it's so easy to find diary entries with the search option. I like adding photos to special days to make it personal.
Refugee from Day One
I finally had to give up on Day One Classic when Dropbox stopped supporting version 1.x of their API and Day One would not update Classic to the new API. Without Dropbox or any other method of writing to Day One from my Windows PC, Day One is not practically usable, even with the extortionately expensive DayOne version 2. It took a long while to find Diaro but it is a real beauty. I migrated all of my years of Day One entries to Diaro using the import function. Everything transferred OK, including tags. Diaro does everything I need - a text based journal with date/time stamp, tags and location tags running on Windows and iOS and synced together. I have lost nothing of value in migrating to Diaro and gained an affordable and very functional working tool.
PS - I found errors in the timestamps of some entries migrated from Day One Classic and called on Diaro Support for assistance. Their response was immediate. The problem was a difficult one. After a series of questions and answers they finally found the root cause of the problem, missing time-zone data in the original Day One files. Not only is Diaro a top notch product but it also has a top notch support team. Excellent work. Highly recommended.

Review
I really love writing and making ideas for stories and even for writing down how my day was. It helps me to express my feelings in my writing. This is the perfect app to do so. I would highly recommend this to friends and family and that is why I am proud to give this fantastic app 4 out of 5 stars.

Worst app ever, total waste of my money
Bought the pro version, the app shuts down randomly and constantly wipes out texts.
Emailed the developer multiple times, without ANY correspondence back.
