Nice — when it works
The app gives you useful data, such as the realtime cost of what you are running. BUT, the app is incredibly unreliable. Today there’s no realtime data, it can’t connect (supposedly) to the meter that’s literally four feet away, and no matter how many tries I make, it says it can’t bind. If do a reset of the app, all of your past data is deleted! On top of all of this, they charge a monthly fee. Are they going to blame all of this on a fallen tree branch 15 miles away?Show lessIssues but Customer Support Cane Through
I’ve had issues with the app, but after a few months they’ve resolved the issues I was seeing. I wish they would allow their customer support to continue to update tickets even when the ticket has been assigned to another team to give customers more granularity but overall I am happy with the app.
That being said, this is a cool feature to have, especially when you’ve got a lot going on in a home and are curious to see how much energy is being used. I’ve got a hot tub, AC, and a few other high consuming pieces of equipment and it is enlightening to see just how much is being used. After seeing how much, I was able to tailor their energy use to have a smaller impact on the grid and my wallet. It can be very helpful at times.Show lessCustomer Support Non Existent
Been having issues with their box for months. I had a tech come out who couldn’t resolve the issue but they said it would be fixed by “end of day” on the backend. This was a month ago and still no fix has happened. I’ve reached out to customer support 8 times in the last month trying to get an update and they’ve just ghosted me. Absolutely infuriating. As cool as this gadget might seem, it is 100% not worth it. It isn’t even that accurate when it does work. Do not waste your money on this box or the monthly subscription fee they charge you!Show less
