If I try to check availability I always get error message, “Oops something went wrong, check again later”

Eventually managed to book tickets but very difficult to understand that though they were confirmed we did not actually have the berths booked!!! Hard to understand what all the bookings mean. However when we cancelled all our money, except for administration charges, was refunded almost immediately so excellent from that point of view.Show less35Barney

I am an OCI living in US. I wish the app would allow any phone number to be used for authentication purposes and not just Indian mobile. I plan to travel with kids and have to ask an agent to make the reservation, which seems primitive and outdated.KoolPKP

IRCTC app doesn’t help for reservation
I was trying to book railway tickets for Jan 2020 to Mumbai from Ahmedabad (21st Nov2019). The site displayed no train for available reservation. The same time I asked an agent to book for a specific train and he could get it in minutes.
I can’t understand how this could be possible unless some corrupt officers jamming the system for common men.Show lessxxxxyyyyu

Can’t book
Won’t let me book a train trip tickets because my account is foreign account. It’s frustrating for foreigner to visit India if they can’t book train tickets. Which should have been simplest task becomes overwhelming task. Now need to look for someone else to book it for us. Very disappointed. Please fix this problem.Show lesstaruindore
