Love this app, and learning how to add the wood ball to tai chi movements. Great value for inexpensive IAP when compared to other available formats with these same lessons. Dr. Yangβs teaching is excellent. Years of information to learn and practice
Great Taijiquan content
This app contains the content from Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming's DVD Tai Chi Ball Qigong Disc 1 produced by YMAA. It contains Course 1 and 2 (Courses 3 and 4 are on Disc 2). Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming once again shows what a great teacher he is. The courses contain basic information on using the Tai Chi ball in your Taijiquan practice, as well as a lecture on Qi and Qigong. Dr. Yang's students demonstrate the techniques, and as he corrects and comments on his students the viewer obtains an in depth knowledge of the Tai Chi ball. I also own the DVD and by purchasing the app I am able to practice the courses without plugging my external SuperDrive into my MacBook. The navigability of the app is not as good as it would be if the courses were designed to be app-based in their original conception, however being able to view these courses on my iPad is extremely beneficial.

Great App
Dr. Yang has always provided a wealth of information. He gives clear instructions on important foundations. The videos are high quality. As usual, his videos, like his books, are excellent.

Following up on the excellent app on Tai Chi this is another great app by Dr Yang on Tai Chi ball training. Dr Yang is a fantastic teacher and the app makes you feel like your in his class. Highly recommended!
Top quality instruction
I've been collecting and learning from Dr. Yang books and DVDS for years. The Y.M.A.A has been doing an excellent job bringing the deeper knowledge of Chinese martial arts and Qigong to the west and this app is no exception.
I wasn't sure, but I am now
I wasn't sure about tai chi balls until I watched this app, now I am! Now I want to purchase the ball from YMAA and get serious about studying this form. Dr. Yang is the world's best teacher, so I am ready to learn more.
Very cool
Tai chi ball is a fun and excellent way to build strength (gently!). Itβs amazing how these simple exercises build core strength safely. Secret: You can use any kind of ball. Softball, soccer ball, basket ball. Of course, when you want to really go deep, a wood tai chi ball is a good idea. Available from the app developer.

Dr. Yang's Tai Chi Ball Qigong app has been an immediately useful tool. These exercises are proving to be an excellent complement to my training to learn the Tai Chi forms.
