  • God has a plan for you ✝️

This app clearly has had many improvements since most of the reviews were made. I have never experienced a glitch or had a misunderstanding while using this app.
  • Mostly perfect

I love this app and am happy to pay the very small cost for the devotions (their team works hard to put them together).
Only one issue is the “copy” feature doesn’t work - I want to copy a verse and save it in my journal app and the feature just doesn’t work. Other than that - I really do love this app and recommend it to everyone.

  • Useless if you already bought the book!

I recently downloaded the app after purchasing the Numbers study book from the website. The inside of my book stated, “Devotionals corresponding to each daily reading plan can be found in the Numbers reading plan on the She Reads Truth app.” So I downloaded the app, but didn’t see Numbers listed in my purchased plans section. I reached out to customer support to find out how to sync my purchase, and after some back and forth with customer support, I learned a few things.

First, my website purchase will never show up in the app because they are two different accounts and apparently cannot be synced. Just about every company I know these days has figured out how to sync account activity between the website and app, so this is just plain aggravating, especially when purchases are involved.

Second, I learned that in order to access the daily devotions in the app (which are free to the public on the website) I would have to pay an additional $1.99. If you have purchased the study guide through the app or paid for a subscription, then you can access the devotions in the app. If you are like me and started with buying a book, then the app is absolutely useless unless you want to pay a convenience fee to use the app to do what your phone’s web browser can do for free.

I’m sharing this because had I known this upfront, I would not have bothered with the app in the first place.

  • Needs improvements

I want to love this app because SRT makes other great resources like their beautiful Bibles and helpful books. I enjoy the simplicity of having other scripture referenced with the day’s text to “let Scripture interpret Scripture.” However, this app is not the most user friendly and the plans can get off track. What I mean is that when I click the book I’m studying, many times it takes me to a random day I’ve already done even though I’ve checked it complete so I have to go back to find my actual place. Another item is if I want to read more than one day at a time (because we all get behind sometimes and have multiple days we can complete other times), it is not easy to jump to the next reading day smoothly. Once I mark the day complete to keep reading the devotional and if I want to go to the chat, it would be much easier and user friendly to have an arrow or option to go to the next day instead of pressing back at least three times, sometimes having to navigate more if the app decides to take me back to the plan page, and it presents an issue to simply reading Scripture because I’m having to figure out the finicky app. Those are my suggestions. I’d love some updates to keep using! Thanks SRT!

  • Mediocre UX, Beautiful content both in design and devotional

I have to say I agree with everyone stating the app’s overall usability is lackluster. It can definitely be glitchy; there’s some UX design that doesn’t make sense to me and interferes with overall flow. I also REALLY wish they’d integrate landscape orientation compatibility. It’s a bit annoying for me personally to only be offered one orientation.

All that said, I will continue to use this app because the content of the devotionals is lovely. I really appreciate the aesthetics and artistic thought put into it, and I especially appreciate the theologically sound wisdom that’s offered through each devotional as it’s comprehensible and biblically sound. It’s also really sweet to have a community of other women working through it with you.

I think SRT has something wonderful going, it’s just a matter of sorting out the logistical things to make the app use smoother!

  • I signed up

I signed up but can’t get pass the introduction pages. Really want to check it out. Kind of disappointed I can’t experience the knowledge you have about the Word of God.

I hope you work out your technical issues soon.
  • Looks pretty, but crashes

I had downloaded this app and in the first 60 seconds, it crashed twice. I haven’t even picked out my study yet, but I’m hesitant to plan on the app if this is the norm. The other reviews talking about the app crashing were from years ago, so I thought they would have worked it out. The app looks lovely and seems to have a lot of nice features, but clearly there are behind the scenes tech. issues that need to be resolved to make this a functional app. Too bad because it seems promising and I don’t want to buy the physical books which take up space. Hoping this app improves, but it seems like this is a long-time concern from buyers.

  • App constantly crashes

I absolutely love everything about SRT. Except the app. I’ve tried so hard for years to love it, but it’s gotten to the point where I can’t use it even if I wanted to. I have the SRT Bible and will occasionally purchase the physical study books, but those are way too pricey to purchase regularly. So I pay the small monthly subscription to use the app and it still doesn’t work. I’ve recommended this app to so many friends who are desperate for time in the word, but now I see why this app wasn’t feasible for them.
I have tried to get in touch with them for weeks about the crashing problem, but there seems to be no other way to communicate the issues other than leaving a review. Now I know I’m not the only one with this problem! Very disappointing. Hopefully these reviews start to make a difference soon!

  • Constantly shutting down

I love the content but can never get through it. I’ve reached out and it was suggested I delete and reload the app. This doesn’t work. I have not been able to read the scripture or complete any study because an unexpected error occurs every time I use it. Please fix it! And make it more intuitive for using and scrolling through studies. The content and concept is fabulous, but I can’t enjoy it.
