I recently downloaded the app after purchasing the Numbers study book from the website. The inside of my book stated, “Devotionals corresponding to each daily reading plan can be found in the Numbers reading plan on the She Reads Truth app.” So I downloaded the app, but didn’t see Numbers listed in my purchased plans section. I reached out to customer support to find out how to sync my purchase, and after some back and forth with customer support, I learned a few things.
First, my website purchase will never show up in the app because they are two different accounts and apparently cannot be synced. Just about every company I know these days has figured out how to sync account activity between the website and app, so this is just plain aggravating, especially when purchases are involved.
Second, I learned that in order to access the daily devotions in the app (which are free to the public on the website) I would have to pay an additional $1.99. If you have purchased the study guide through the app or paid for a subscription, then you can access the devotions in the app. If you are like me and started with buying a book, then the app is absolutely useless unless you want to pay a convenience fee to use the app to do what your phone’s web browser can do for free.
I’m sharing this because had I known this upfront, I would not have bothered with the app in the first place.
