  • A quick cup of joe

The Economist is known for its in-depth articles and well researched quarterly briefings on important topics. How well does it provide a short take on the big stories of the day?
Surprisingly well. There's not quite enough - so you can click through to the magazine for more - but it's presented with the Economist's trademark wit ('Out like Flynn'), and gives you the headline facts while you're waiting for the lift. Nicely done.

  • Pithy and Concise

An enjoyable and topical daily read that takes no more than 5 minutes. Covers a wide range of current affairs, many of which are not generally covered by mainstream NZ media
  • Relevant short interesting

The material in espresso is well pitched. Short and snappy items are headlined, and items of less interest can be easily skipped or ignored. It is now a key part of my morning updates.
  • Nice interface, easy to operate one handed

Nice little app for subscribers, has bite sized content, in an easy to operate format.
  • Concise informative news

A great summary of news for those without much time
  • Morning coffee

Great way to start the day.
  • Morning good read

    Brief and informative .
I am still a subscriber since its inception .
  • Great content, terrible app

The Economist content is great - a nice little 'sip' of the day's important news. The problem is that the app simply does not work - six times out of seven I get a "Sorry, Things are moving slowly..." message and cannot get access to the day's news. This happens regardless even on stable, fast connections, so I am certain it is a problem at The Economist's end...

Also (minor point) there is no update on Saturday or Sunday - that may be the weekend in some parts of the world, but not where I live!
