Why now?
Why the paywall after so long?
Buh bye.Run away.
The app now charges for anything other than the most basic conversions. It’s a nice app but a conversion app isn’t worth what they’re asking. App deleted. Was great before, now it blows.
Those of us that have been using this app for a while will tell you it does what it says.
But after paying once for the app- they want you to subscribe to continue to use it. Plenty of other free options, no subscription needed- or just use google. Lol.
Check out conversion calculator. Free and better UI / UX.Show lessPay wall?
This app used to be free. I can’t say I used it all the time, but it was helpful. I usually used it when baking or converting metric to US std or vise versa. To my surprise, I was locked out of about everything I used it for.
Back to Google I guess.Paying to convert centimeters to inches?
Seriously? Inches has been put behind a paywall? Most blatant cash grab i’ve seen in a long time. I understand 2020 has been tough on everyone, but this is just insulting.Greedy developer. Do not download this app.
I have used this app for years. Unfortunately the greedy developers have put almost every important units behind a paywall which is absurd. I feel sorry for anyone downloading it without knowing it’s a paid unit convertor app.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP unless you want to pay for a simple unit converting.Show lessI used to give 5 but it crashes now every time
I can’t even open the app, it crashes and closes every time I try to use itDeveloper Response
Please can you share crash details at support@americostech.comIt is a scam
Requires a subscription for basic unit conversion. Come on...Developer Response
We have free units to try in every category. Please check and edit your review if you can. Thanks! Not great ~ especially at the price
Poor interface, no options to turn off the day-glo colors, searching through a giant list of units is a pain to find what you want.
Then there’s the “upgrade” that recently happened that basically deleted the version I paid for and “updated” it to a version that requires an annual subscription to do any useful conversions. That’s called and upgrade, and moral developers offer you something worth upgrading for while warning that it is a paid upgrade and allowing you to keep using the old software until it becomes too outdated etc.
For me, since this app rarely got used since I found a better alternative it’s easy to just delete it.Show lessBait and Switch
Payed for the app for full use under original contract. Now through update the app switched to subscription service requiring repetitive payments. The business practice is “no star”. Practically, if subscription were purchased now, it’s terms could be switched again in midstream to different terms. Unreliable.Show less
