I love my PreSonus
I mix with a PreSonus 24.4 Ai for church and we specifically bought that board for the app support. Though the new "2.0" app really didn't add that many features other than aesthetics, I do like the new feel and the new organizational layout, but what I really want for Christmas on the next version of the app is live visual RTA and spectrograph from the app. It's just a wish.
We use this app twice a week with few glitches. For two part time inexperienced sound techs, this is as close to plug and play as it gets.
PS. Another wish maybe for my birthday would be the ability to move the input channels independently and reorder them. Please please, pretty please.

Ridiculous
Welcome to scanning to infinity!? The app works fine when connected. But WHY have a DEMO mode that doesn't work? Also why tell people to contact the app developer? This is YOUR app Presonus! I work at a concert venue with multiple stages. This will NEVER make it into our venue!
Not only is the app wonky...but the hardware only offers 4 total effects slots, 2 of which MUST be delay, and the other 2 of which MUST be reverb!?
HUGE FAIL PRESONUS! I guess that's why in it's price range it is the ONLY offering that we absolutely NEVER see on a tech rider! Think twice if you are thinking about buying one of these consoles people.
However it looks like with the demo fail Presonus is totally helping with that. Because nobody downloads an app to check out the demo to try a product before they buy! (Sarcasm by the way)

Inactivity issue
Unable to control my mixer board from my device. It shows an activity when I connect but unable to control. Kindly fix it for me. I tried it on servers devices and it's the same problem on all the devices.
If the apps doesn't work, will the hardware?
The title says it all. I downloaded this app before I read the other three reviews closely. I experienced the same thing. All it does is scan, and scan, and scan. Demo mode won't launch. If they can't get a simple app to work, what is their hardware like? Is it reliable? Based on a previous review, doesn't sound like Tech Support is much better either. I think I'm going to stick with Mackie.

Who's responsible?
I've contacted PreSonus Tech Support about (1) the demo mode doesn't work, (2) the app continually scans for devices, and (3) the will not close - stays resident. They said to contact the app developer; which is PreSonus! I gave this app 4 stars because it does work very well when connected to "scanned" devices, just not in the demo mode - at all.

I have a gig to,or row and this new version seems buggy already
The demo version won't open on my iPad Air. That's making me very God Damn nervous
Difficult to control
This app shows everything on the screen nicely, but unfortunately is too hard to control on the iPad. Moving the faders takes several tries, as the app seems to want to scroll the faders instead of move them. Very difficult when you need to adjust things quickly.
Other apps are much more friendly for iPad mixing, as they use larger targets for your fingers.

Presonus UC Surface for IPad
I am impressed. In less than two weeks I was able to learn, setup, configure and control my new RM32ai with Mics on all 32 channels for a musical production of Les Miserable. Sure, after six performances there was still more to learn but I was able to pull it off with the tools from Presonus. With the software I was able to create approximately 35 scenes to make managing the mic control possible. I also recorded all 32 channels so that a mix could be created and then synced with three video feeds later. We did a lot in very little time. Thanks Presonus.

Dosen't work for me ipad air 2
Mind of its own.
App needs to run in background. Or option to allow it to. Takes forever to reconnect. Also, I use aux 5 and 6 on my mixer to do a stereo streaming mix. UC surface allows me to control the aux out volume, but in doing so the mixer switches to Fader Locate mode. This is annoying to the FOH guy. Turning off the "default to fader locate" on the iPad lasts only a minute before it turns itself on again. Also with this update, when permission of my iPad is set to "auxes only"I have no control of the aux out fat channel like before. Love the workflow and layout though. Tons of potential.
