(based upon the 2-chapter demo)
Four and a half stars rounded down to four.
You play a child protection services worker, following up on an anonymous phone call and uncover conspiracy, and children with paranormal capabilities gone missing. This seems like a fast-paced game from one of my favourite game developers, Alawar (who did the 1000 door series) but I could only give it 4.5 stars due to concerns about the length.
The good: sharp, computer-generated graphics, interesting characters, real sense of urgency during parts of the game. HOGS in the demo were all find-and-use type which I find more interesting than just plain list-types. No glitches, transportable map that shows active areas. Demo is a decent length. Collectible coins (not hard to find)
The bad: external strategy guide but luckily it doesn't restart the game when you exit the guide. Slight touchiness with navigating back a scene.
The ugly: The game is only 5 chapters plus bonus, and the demo (2 chapters) took me around 35 minutes, so this might actually be a pretty short game, which is unlike most of the Alawar games I've played. I am really hoping that I am wrong on this!
