  • Jensen guys, will your ignorance and greed ever end?

Apparently spending $200k class c RV and $150k on a LQ horse trailer is not enough to buy a functional stereo system an app. Not even a choice to upgrade beyond Jensen as you would have when buying a car.
Strangely my $200k Regal 26ft bowrider has a reliable and powerful 3-zone Fuzion system which by far exceeds anything in the RV sector, just enjoy a simple thing like music, for about the same price tag of a bicycle.
Jensen produces nothing but useless garbage, cutting deals with companies that are just as unreliable and greedy.
    STAY AWAY!

  • The Absolute Worst In Every Way

The fact that Jensen continues to exist and that large manufacturing companies like Winnebago continue to use them in their factory installs is shameful. There’s not a single positive thing to say about either their hardware or software offerings. Both are incredibly archaic from a tech standpoint and their core design goal seems to be to frustrate the end user to the point where they want to go absolutely ‘Office Space’ on said equipment. Please let this company go the way of the (much more admirable) Dodo bird soon and another company that actually cares about quality and usability fill the void asap.

  • Very annoying app!!!

I like the app well enough, as far as controlling the radio from my phone goes, but even when the radio is Off, and I don’t have the jControl app running, it pesters me every thirty minutes or so with the message “jControl App would like to connect to your Jensen radio” or words to that effect. Even when I click on “Ignore”, it just keeps sending me this message. It is annoying to the point of being infuriating, and the next thing in my day is to uninstall the jControl app. My advice: skip it!!

  • Rube Goldberg contraption

Like the radio its an overcomplicated mess, terminology that makes no sense to a user and setup/operating instructions that were a joke but somehow got incorporated, the engineers are still laughing that corporate released it. App is rarely updated and when it is consumer complaints aren’t addressed. The app and the radio are both dinosaurs from the 1990’s but survive because there isn’t any real competitors in the RV segment unlike the automotive segment. Bluetooth itself is just a one way connection, your phone to the radio, radio won’t transmit to your headphones, you’ll need a bluetooth adapter for that task. The radio model doesn’t really matter, the improvements are cosmetic at best, they change the size and move the buttons around but the basic technology never changes.

  • Can’t Connect Bluetooth to JWM72A

Have used the app for the past year and it’s always been hit or miss with getting connected to the Jensen audio system. Now it absolutely will not connect with Bluetooth to my iPhone 13. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it, removed the iPhone from the stereo Bluetooth known devices, powered everything off and on numerous times. I see that the app hasn’t been updated in 2 years and the link for support doesn’t work either.

  • TRASH!

Definitely in the top 5 of worst apps I’ve ever downloaded. Can’t connect to the head unit. Links provide for help are broken. Complete waist of time.
  • Bluetooth issue aggravating

I love everything about this stereo except the Bluetooth. Once I connect,
It works flawlessly until I have to leave with my phone. When I return, the Bluetooth says “device not found” EVERY TIME. I then have to go into settings, forget the device, set the JM6WA to “discover” mode, wait for my phone to find it, and connect. This happens every time I leave and return. Every other Bluetooth device I own remembers the connection and immediately reconnects when my phone is near it. Frustrating!

  • Bluetooth Horrors

This is an amazing app - When It Works

It took me 3 years to realize that when the Bluetooth fails to connect - which it does all the time - I just turn off All power sources to the RV and then turn it all back on. When the RV is powered back up, I can then get JControl to connect. But it still doesn’t stream music until I Turn On the Stereo (from the app).

Since I learned that, I have fallen in love with my Jensen JWM6A and with JControl.

  • Nice …In theory

I’ve got a supported Jensen JWM9A unit in my RV and this app will not connect to the unit 90% of the time - even when successfully paired and connected via Bluetooth and actively streaming music from the connected iOS device (thereby proving the Bluetooth connection is established and operational).

Something is fundamentally wrong with this app. This problem persists on multiple iOS devices, thereby pointing the problem squarely back to the app. You can have all of the best features built into your app, but if it relies on Bluetooth and fails to reliably establish a Bluetooth data channel, there’s really no point.

That said; when it does randomly connect, the control set is well featured and each control behaves as expected, albeit with a slight lag.

I would give this review zero stars if that were an option.

  • Doesn't support all inputs of a JMW72

I wired the tv to the rear aux, but the app doesn't select the aux inputs
