  • Beautiful

Absolutely amazing storytelling with clear Edgar Allen Poe influences. Very well written and produced. Art is beautiful, music is haunting, story is captivating. Puzzles are decently challenging but not too difficult. In a few cases the solutions were a bit obscure though. Only other complaint is that it would be nicer if the art was a bit higher resolution to see more detail. The art is so gorgeous, I want to see it more clearly! But I realize that's a huge undertaking.

    Anyway, awesome job devs!
  • Amazing role-play game!

I have long looked for a fun role-playing game to rival the fun memories I have of the King's Quest series (PC). This game certainly lives up to that. Despite the low resolution, the game offers a gripping storyline that at times can still be very scary and exciting. I cannot wait for the next series. I would buy it without a second thought.
  • Very satisfying

Firstly: I feel this game was designed for small screens, as the 'Pitfall- era' graphics sometimes made for difficult gameplay/finding things. I get the super-retro thing that's big now, like Sword n
Sworcery, but I thought it was a little TOO blocky /pixelated to even see what what was happening sometimes, it detracted from otherwise awesome scenes/areas. Like I'm trying to figure out is that a person, a tree branch, or a dog.
Good things: amazing dialogue, music score, character personalities.... And genuinely, for-real creepy. Can't wait til the next part. And thanks for the reasonable price (not 5 bucks for each 20 min chapter like other games.)
and not to sound greedy, but MAYBE, after it's done there could be multiple story paths?
  • Here we go!

This horror game is one of my firsts in this genre, and I am pleasantly surprised.. Or terrified. Even though it's pixilated, it still somehow gives a nice mysterious and simple look along with an autumn feel, much like Cartoon Network's "Over The Garden Wall"'s atmosphere. The story is excellent and the music is drawing. I am without a doubt going to buy the other episodes, something I rarely do. Oh and brace for the end of Episode 1... It's a bit frightening. 👻😈
  • Great Game

Completely incredible and I do rather suggest you get this. I was like you once... Reading the reviews... Unsure... Questioning it... Wondering and pondering if I even want to risk it not being worth my time. Well I took that risk. And you can to, I believe in you, I believe in this game, and I believe in the happiness you will get from taking that extra time to step from inside the box.
  • Back at last!

I was incredibly peeved when the first few chapters were removed from the App Store, and incredibly pleased when the 'Collector's Edition' finally materialized. I've only completed the first two chapters, but this strikes me as a great game for enthusiasts of classic point-and-click adventures and horror fiction such as by H.P. Lovecraft. Each largely self-contained chapter thus far has ended in a cliffhanger that begs for further exploration, even if the answers may destroy the protagonist - like any good classic Mythos tale.
  • Amazing Horror Experience

I am in shock that no one has reviewed this game yet. The Last Door is the best horror game I've seen on iOS, not to mention one of the best horror games I've ever played. The characters are all interesting, and the story captivates you the minute you open the game. The atmosphere is terrifying and the art style is refreshingly unique. The puzzles are very well thought out and very creepy. I would recommend this to anyone who loves horror games, and would like a truly amazing and unique horror experience. GET THIS GAME. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
  • Love it!

I just finished Episode 1 and I have just purchased the other chapters. I have nothing but praise for this game. I wish more games allowed you to sample the game before committing to a purchase.

The story has me hooked. The music and sound effects are fantastic. I came across a review complaining about the visual graphics, but I have to disagree. Not only does the 8-bit look make me nostalgic for the games I used to play, but some of the imagery described in the game is truly terrifying. I find it to be much more effective to leave the gruesome details to my imagination!

Some aspects of this game are not for everyone and may be downright disturbing for some. But if you enjoy weird tales and classic horror this should be up your alley. Thanks to the makers of a great game!
  • Cannot wait for "Season Two"

The creepy story line along with the incredibly haunting music is one thing but it's how perfect the low res is for this game/story that was such a surprise to me. First time I've played a game like this and I am hooked. A "Season Two" is referenced at the end and I sure hope it's in the works. I'll be buying that for sure when it comes out.
  • My Feedback...

If the game was fullscreen, that'd be great. There's a lot of unused space on my iPhone 6 Plus. Second, please hide the Time toolbar -- with captions enabled the text gets covered up by the time on the phone, making the captions nearly impossible to read. Third, add some Help pages about controls. I must have spent 10 minutes doing nothing in the first room of Ep 2 before I finally stumbled upon the correct location. Super annoying. Finally, thank you for allowing us to skip Episodes as I played the first one on the PC almost a year ago. Cheers!
