Kids deserve better
I’m not going to talk about the inconsistency of the choices on whether or not a channel or video gets allowed on here, but my problem has always been the UI. The recent UI update isn’t terrible but it just sorta looks nicer. One of the most important things lacking is a button to skip back and fast forward by a few seconds. This is especially a problem for longer videos when you just want to go back and see something that just happened and you have to try and scroll back as close as you can. Another problem is that not every channel gets a channel page which makes it less organized especially when you just want to watch some of their channel. Also with channel pages, I don’t like that they show a few of the most recent videos, then most popular, and then chronological releases. I wish you could switch between chronological and most popular so it’s easier to find videos. I also want an option to turn of the sounds effects that play when you press anything, because they’re quite annoying. If simplification is the problem then maybe these should be togglable options in parental settings.

I’d leave 0 stars if i could
This app was supposed to designed for kids, HOWEVER, after creating an account and specifically putting my child’s account at 4 years old so we could limit what she was seeing, it was still continuously showing videos about things that are wildly inappropriate for kids AT ANY AGE. Cartoon characters that have been edited to be anatomically correct, violence with weapons, gore, and so much more. Even after blocking the channels and specific videos, they continued to pop up. It then kicked me out of my parental/adult account and wouldn’t allow me to log back in or block anymore channels/videos. I’m not sure how to get around it. We’ve made several accounts and done everything in our power to continue to be able to use this app, but we’ve had to delete it and move on to other options. I understand we can’t limit everything out kids see or hear in this world, but on an app specifically designed for children that requires you to put the child’s age… not for us. Parents beware!

Can u and like other youtubers like Bella story and toca boca youtuber Like toca Alice and roblox youtubers like ibella and every time when i want to wach som scary suff it's shows me kids faze rug Sam and Colby just tag the cuzzwords out ok:) when I. It’s good just needs some updates
First of all when you have videos like multiple videos from one channel just make it so the full channel is on there like Norris nuts there are so many video on there just you need to put the full channel on there and same with couch sisters and Merle twins just some more vids and also when your signing in make like a thing on what language you speak so when you think o this a cool video when it’s all in French or Spanish and you don’t understand flirt in any of those an also for some odd reason I hade to delete and reinstall the app because all the videos or some ones would be in some random language that’s it

Alr so the UI is super cool but… 1. my sister has the old ui so yeah 2. I CAN’T FIND MY SUBSCRIBE LIST I NEED TO KEEP A LIST OF YOUTUBERS TO SEE, maybe put notifications! 3. Maybe put an area for shorts, ofc they’ll be for kids but I feel like this would be rlly helpful 4. Maybe another thing could be like and dislike so kids can JS out like or dislike and this can help with recommendations! And lastly idk if you can do this but u can add comments BUT only for kids and there like pre written for example like in among us they have pre written comments, like you can say “Wow!” Or “I think there really cool!” And you can maybe like or dislike comments, ofc the parents / guardians can choose to have that. AND CAN YOU PLEASE ADD MORE CHANNELS CAUES I JUST WATCH CALLMEHALEY, SOTY, JKREW GAMING, AND PLEASE ADD CILLA AND MADDY PLEASEEEEEEE AND MAYA CLARA GAMINGGGG IM ON MY KNEES BEGGING

Great app, needs 1 update
Love this app so much for my 3 year old daughter who is autistic. Lets her have control of what she wants to watch and she can click around and rewind or fast forward 12 times in a row as an ASD stim or for her sensory processing. My only complaint for autistic children or any parent concerned for volume would lack of parental control of volume. My daughter and I have heard other ASD children love shows at full volume, it would be great if there was a setting option for parent controlled volume. The only way I can get around this is to use guided access on her iPad, circle & gray out the volume area but then she can’t go to other apps she likes to switch between game puzzle apps and YT kids app, when I guide it she is stuck on YT kids and being non verbal has to bring the iPad to me to unlock for her to go to the other apps when unlocked she goes back into YT kids and turns the volume to full blast. Please please create a parent control option for volume especially for parents of special needs children. Thank you.

It’s good however..
I feel like this app is a pretty good app for kids to use if they want to watch content and not have there parents worry about certain thing, however I feel like it’s very limited, with the older kids who are 10,11, and 12 are stuck with the same features just more content to suit age rating, some suggestions I have is having a comment section only for kids, when creators get feedback through the eyes of a kid, not an adult or some capitalist, it can be actual good feedback. I also noticed that with some channels u can’t subscribe to them or they don’t have a profile picture which I find very strange. I think that if the app had more accessible features for older kids it would be a 5 star from me, also if the kids could get notifications when the creators post that would be nice because if a creator posts a video that they want to watch but the kids don’t know when it will be posted it would be nice to have a notification bell like in the actual app.

It’s great…just a couple….problems
Like in the title of my review, it is amazing, it works for me well…but there’s only a couple problems. I watch Moriah Elizabeth, she posts on fridays, I get it whatever day I get it. I understand they have to make sure that it’s not inappropriate. But ALSO, I watched a couple videos on my MOMS yt account, and there were videos that IVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SEE! I still love this app, it’s amazing but also, I watch The Norris Nuts, and it won’t even LET ME GO TO THERE CHANNEL! They aren’t inappropriate at all! But somehow there channel icon wont be on there? Idk why…but I do love this app, it’s good, not inappropriate, and has good content. I just hope that you can fix the bug with the icon channel thing on The Norris Nuts, and fix the upload on Moriah Elizabeth. Thank you! Love this app! ❤️✨

Terrible at What it Does
Hi, I’ve been watching YT Kids for years now, because my parents decided that YT wasn’t for me yet. So take this from a pre-teen’s POV. So, the complaints. Firstly, the channels. WHY THE HECK CAN’T I SEE THE SUB COUNT, 1. AND 2, WHY CAN’T I SEE ALL VIDEOS?!? IT ONLY ALLOWS YOU TO SEE LIKE 20, EVEN IF THERE ARE 20+ VIDEOS ALLOWED. IT’S SO SIMPLE TO FIX COME ON!! Secondly, the sharing. If you want to give your kids someone who’s 100% kid friendly but’s not on Kids, then sharing! Share channels & vids with your kids! WHY THE HECK CAN’T IT SEE THE TITLE ON SHARED VIDEOS?! THAT’S NOT JUST IT SOME VIDEOS IN PARTICULAR JUST CAN’T BE SHARED! Another thing is THAT SOME KIDS VIDEOS JUST ARE NOT AT ALL KIDS VIDEOS. And for SOME STUPID REASON, I CANNOT SEE THE FULL TITLE OF VIDEOS. And by the way, the search bar? Pathetic. ALSO. WHY CAN’T I JUST ZOOM FORWARD IN VIDEOS? I’m watching a five hour compilation, but the part at the end is my favorite! What do I do? A: wait five hours or B: “fast” forward for FIVE MINUTES STRAIGHT. So many more things that I could complain about, but my iPad has 6% and I don’t want it to die and lose this review.

This app is amazing 🤩 (Although there is Rush E and it’s bad for my eyes It’s so good) change the age to your child’s age and yeah that’s pretty much all but sometimes we need to monitor our children this is overall pretty good! (you can block videos your child can NOT watch!)
