Great for the most part
it's got some clunkiness to it but it's free, easy to use and for the most part works extremely well. It has problems dictating, it will go for five or 10 seconds and then quit. I strongly suggest you do your dictation and major editing somewhere else and then import. and leave editing within the app to just small errors or separating sentences... if those sentences ties your tongue which is quite often with me. it would be nice if it had access to Dropbox but oh well. Going from windows PC, especially note book or notepad or whatever... you have to email the document to yourself and then save it to your Apple device and then this app can retrieve it. It's no big deal works fine. I looked into the paid version and quite frankly I'm not sure what benefits you get but that's just my opinion. I haven't checked into buying the remote, that would be really handy I think. Definitely download and use. There's something about supporting companies that when they say it's free, it's free! and like all the others that I'm sure you have already tried that's why you're reading this... pretty much everyone else says it's free and then you get there and everything's limited or you have to do whatever do without so download this now you won't regret it.Show lessKulacDave

Thanks! The dictation feature is actually part of iOS and not handled by our app at all. Hopefully Apple will improve it soon. The app does indeed have access to Dropbox and other file sharing services too. Thank you for your support and kind words!Hands Down THE Best
You can pay more - heaps more actually - for teleprompter apps with a few bells and whistles you’re never gonna use.
But this one, hands down, is the most cost effective, easy to use, logical and dependable of the bunch.
I recently had 10 minutes before being thrown into a major presentation and almost missed my cue futzing around with another brand.
Thank goodness this one jumped out, enabled me to upload immediately, and hit the GO button.
You remember the life preservers in a cut throat industry. This is one of those.

Excellent Replaced SmartPrompter
Today I opened SmartPrompter and low and behold they made significant changes…all leaning towards a subscription. Most importantly I could NOT figure out how to make it work. Even the online help files didn’t make it really simple for me to figure it out.
Well my needs are very basic. Just scroll and make it easy to mirror. I had remembered downloading Teleprompter on my desktop so thought what the heck maybe they have it for iPad. Within minutes I was running again. No directions needed. These guys understand. My loyalty has switched. Look forward to using this in the future for all my tele needs.Show lessGentleGiantEd
Great app and features!
I like this app, it has a lot of free features that are valuable to making a good speech while looking at the camera. The text actually scroll on the left side so that you can keep your eye on the camera. It has cueing which helps you read to pace and keep you on the same line so your eyes don’t wander. It’s great for iPad and iPhone. It’s just user friendly. I also had a question about use of the app an customer serviced gave me an answer in less than 24 hrs. Great app, great service, and I haven’t had or seen any glitches yet!Show lessJamesof99

Life saving App
I downloaded the Teleprompter app because I was due to be shooting 1st time short video for some students I work with, I created a script and filmed within 2days… this is why I called it ‘a life saving app’ as the free version allowed me to get it done and edit bits on the day… ‘you know those things you just waffle on about that definitely needs cutting as you realise it!’ If I had to do more of this work I would definitely return to this app and purchase the full version as I would of liked to cut and pasted initially, use a remote to slow and speed up text movement but I understand that’s the payoff for a free version and it’s definitely worth using and even purchasing… thank you teleprompter creator/s. I used the app 2x and really enjoyed the final product it put out
Simple - easy - clean
Then I tried the paid version because the user interface made me believe I could easily upload a video to add captions
Poor app Dev led to me think the wrong thought - I could not do this with their video app
So I burnt $30 (can’t remember the full amount) and quickly wrote it off as a lost payment cause i wasn’t not going to go through the effort of getting in contact with someone who could help
The app didn’t give me a feel they had a 24/7 help team
But to my amazement I get an email from “Joe Allen - Creator of Teleprompter” within a day of cancelling and asking me right off the bat why I did it
I explained
He emailed back within a minute asking another question
I answer
He writes back within a minute again…
I reply
He writes back again! Ok pal, I’m happy I can help you get this app right…. But since your here and have been so keen take up my time with making your app better I would like to get my money back from the year payment I made
“You can see on the time stamp that I canceled my subscription within 10 minutes of paying you for a years use”
I hit send and reply with that …
Crickets…
2 days later Still crickets…
3 days later I follow up just incase Joe accidentally missed my email

I still haven’t heard back from Joe

Hi TPTallPaul. Apple don’t allow devs to refund, but they will refund at your request (devs can’t even request on behalf of customers). This will be the best way to refund your upgrade. Sorry if the app indicated in any way that you can upload your own videos! We’ve tried to look for where that might be the case, but haven’t found anything yet.So easy to use
This was recommended to me when I was stressing about recording a short film for work- it was a complete game changer and God send - so easy to use and record and took the stress out of producing the required film. Very easy to use
I tried a few other teleprompter apps that were terrible. Then I found this app, which made my life so much easier. It’s easy to set the speed, and it superimposes the script over the video, so you can see how you look as you’re shooting.Chwaddie
Perfect for a wedding speech
I decided to use my iPhone for wedding speech notes but wasn’t sure how to do so. I tried the Notes inbuilt app but the font was too hard to read. Reading notes I emailed to my phone was ok. Then I looked at the App Store and found a perfect solution in Teleprompter, with selectable fonts, scrolling rates, editing, etc.; exactly what I needed. Thanks!Show lessPB928
