Description of Card Crawl

Card Crawl is a solitaire-style dungeon crawler game played with a modified deck of standard cards. Pocket Tactics – Card game of the year 2015 Pocket Tactics – Reader’s choice game of the year 2015 Pocket Tactics – Editor’s choice game of the year 2015 German Games Award – Nominee for best game design 2016 Clear the dungeon of 54 cards by using item-cards, slaying monsters and managing your limited inventory. On each run, you can use five ability-cards (mini deck building) to gain unique skills. By collecting gold, you can unlock 35 more ability-cards to access new tactics and even higher scores. Reviews of Card Crawl

  • A Great Card Game

Being a fan of solitaire games, this gem popped up as recommended several years back. I wanted to highly recommend it for anyone who likes card games with a fantastical spin.

The game system invites for different approaches and combos once you get a feel for the mechanics. But the shuffling and randomness of the draws - despite the ability to tailor your deck - keeps it from being repetitive too much.

What really helps make it distinct is the daily events - especially since there’s a tally board to see how you’re doing against others.

The overall look and art style is one that grows on you. It might seem a little creepy, but has a distinct charm and there’s lots of details in the characters. The fact that they have expanded that style into a whole sort of “setting” for their other games makes it entertaining.

Overall, a charming game with some interesting card mechanics and tactics.
  • Only mobile game you’ll ever need

This is the perfect, super addictive, time wasting, card game to play on the toilet. Super simple rules to pick up, with layers of strategy to peel back. Single player, so no long loading screens or waiting for other players. Progression feels rewarding with plenty of interesting cards to unlock. Even grinding for highscores with a new deck is fun enough to make 1 hour seem like 5 minutes.
  • Great game, but keeps crashing!

I’ve played 16 games so far and been having a lot of fun, but it’s crashed on me twice already. And it crashes only at the end of a game! It doesn’t count the game or give you the coins you earned that game. Very frustrating! If they can fix this bug, I’d say it’s pretty much a perfect little rogue-lite card game. Art style is amazing, animations fluid, and gameplay balanced. It gives you a good taste of the larger game for free without ads or user tracking. I just paid for the full version because it was fun. Again, great game but I just really hope they fix the crashing bug soon!
