I’ve had several lights/cameras, ever since Kuna’s crowd-funding days, but will not purchase any Kuna product again. The products were a good idea, but execution was flawed. The products are now far below state of the art.
From the start, it was something of a crapshoot if the cameras would work at all, and almost every time I check the app, one or more of the cameras is offline, when all other (50+) IoT devices continue to function normally.
Even when “working,” it’s laughable how often the cameras fail to capture activity directly in front of them. When activity is captured, the resolution has never been stellar, and has never improved.
“Live” view fails so often - with all cameras - that the use of the term seems to be deceptive marketing. Recorded activity also fails to play reliably, and when playing, often stops well before the end of the recording.
I’ve contacted support, but that only demonstrated that there’s not much one can to do improve performance. There’s no question that I’ve reset/restarted Kuna products (and rebooted our Internet service for them) more than (for) any other IoT devices we have, to the point where I no longer bother. The offline cameras may come back online, but it’s not a given.
Our Kuna products are now primarily just outdoor lamps. Buyer beware.
