Wow! So much functionality in one tiny little app!

I have been searching for an app to be able to catalog the inventory of my creator workshop. There have been som many times that I wanted to make something and I knew that I “should” have all the pieces to make the item, yet I didn’t know where those pieces were in my workshop. Or I was out on a film set an needed a tool or item, knew I had the item or tool, but did not know which of the 15 bags or boxes that I brought the item or tool was located.

This app has given me a way to look through my workshop and various boxes and bags for any item at the click of a button. I use the app on a daily basis and find that I am more organized by using it.

Also, I have used the technical support and they are phenomenal!

Great Support

I love this app and I have had it for over a year with no problems. I sent an email to their support team this week because the pictures associated with my receipts were showing as black screens. I received a reply and solution the same day I sent it! Thank you so much Steve!

Cool but unreliable and overly complicated.

The “update” jumbled up my previous setup. It’s buggy, I currently can’t click on anything. Pretty bad lag when it does work. The system has a lot of options for customization but there is such a thing as too much, links just complicate things too much. Ended up canceling my service.

Itemtopia did not jumble anything up, other than the fact that we create two new modules and moved items into the new name, "Item Collections" from what you used before; which was called Spaces. Spaces was too generic a term, and by adding Locations, and Item Collections for various things (and their exact optional Location), we now have more capabilities and less new user confusion. Itemtopia also launched with two pop up screens explaining this change and why it was done.

Limited Free Features; Premium Won’t Persist

What’s the like about this app; however, within half an hour of setting up my home inventory it became clear this app was not feasible to use without paying for premium access. I did. Unfortunately, in my second day of use, the premium wasn’t showing, and I was limited to free app features. I logged out and back in then Premium was there. Yay! However, as I continued working every time I went away to do something else, the app reverted back to free version. This is painful to use. I’m being generous with three stars.

Hi Someone. Let's get this to 5*. The reason this has happened is that when you logged out, you logged back in as a different method. Each login optional method (Facebook, Apple, Google, or using email/password) uses a different authority method to confirm who you are. Itemtopia only confirms who you are if you created your account with email/password. All the others are never confirmed by us. So, you may be using the same email address with Facebook, but its not recognized as one of your log in methods. Contact us from the menu. We can then confirm how this occured.

Used to love before putting locations behind paywall

I used to think this was the perfect organizational app. Everything I wanted and I logged a lot of things in there then just recently they want to charge a subscription service for what we were getting for free. I’d be OK with a one time purchase but these subscription apps are ridiculous. if there was any other app like this doesn’t charge us subscription let me know.

Hi Marcus, "I used to think this was the perfect organizational app. Everything I wanted and I logged a lot of things in there." Thank you. That's what a decade of refinement does. It's fantastic, and, it's on-going. A one-time payment will never work, as operating systems on devices change so much. Even selecting library photos required updates for that reason. As you know, our service includes things which on-going expenses. Encrypted servers, in case you need to access the data from another device, or for backup. Sync Servers, so we update any other people you've shared Itemtopia with. UPC data services, updates for changes to operating systems, etc etc. We hear you, and we do offer an annual plan at a good discount, and a Lite version with a few less bells and whistles is coming too. Within the App, use the Contact us option and support can share more about that.

Hi there Sugar! Sorry for the long delay in responding as sometimes Apple hides reviews from our Dashboard. Anyhow, I think we chatted as someone else asked us about this about a month ago. All you do to close it is tap the UP ARROW to the right of the Item Info section. It will disappear. You must have tapped it to show it, but forgot to close it. Anyhow, in the future, please use the Contact Us option in the Menu. BTW, please try to the new WWW icon in any Space, Item or Person/Pet. It's awesome. Cheers.

Amazing …

No more paper at home. Very well designed. Flexible for many needs. Easy to use! Do not waste time with others apps. This is the best of…

The Best, the Easiest, the Most Capable

Using Itemtopia for years, and I could not be happier.

It’s not a free app!

You only get a certain limit then they charge you after that. Beware

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. The very best things in life are not free - but we are - up to a point. This allows you to try Itemtopia and see if it helps organize everything in your life. That's what we are here for. We're always here to help and as we actually do need to pay our team, we do need people who love what we do to subscribe. :-)

False Advertisement

A year ago they raved about how their app was “FREE FREE FREE” only to get invested inventorying my whole house to paying 7.99/mo which comes to almost $100 a year!! It’s a trap once you’ve done all that work you’re not gonna want to have to lose it. You get to log about 100 items for free at first but that is the cap. Just know this isn’t a “FREE” app and is pretty costly!!!

***Dear User, As you are aware, all "long time ago" users (like you) were in fact grandfathered in to remain free, and to this very day still have access to exactly what they downloaded 10+ years ago. Furthermore, over the past decade, you would have also received the thousands of enhancements and fixes we added. We did this for you and others as we appreciated the feedback from you/others while we were developing and enhancing our App to make it the feature-rich App it is today. If you seem to be having an issue, please use the Contact Us option in the Menu. Our policy has always been to allow continued use, but as you are aware, the initial data storage has always only ever been (and remains) 256MB for free data access. While you can add items until the cows come home, you need to be selective about all the data you choose to add to Itemtopia. Some PDFs can be 20MB or more. When you do get to the limit you have at 256MB, we will eventually need to let you know that the limit was exceeded. The limit of 256MB was determined and has been in the license agreement for over 10 years. As we add more features/functionality, sometimes there are significant new things we create and long-time users will not be able to get - without Premium. We do not force it upon you either. A few of these great ideas are sharing locations with people, adding new users with their own log-ins, and creating or printing QR Codes. The reason is that these are features supported by Premium Users who enjoy what we offer and use us daily at home, or for their business. There are also new capabilities coming soon are for Premium Users. In closing, I will just add that hitting us with 1 star for a decade of free use is not really very nice. If your account has an issue, let us know. We work just as hard for you as we do for Premium users, and we answer everyone without even looking to see what level they are. We care. Period. We care.
