  • Excellent correlation and supplement to the book

I was greatly impressed with the book, Convict Conditioning. Coach Wades impeccable logic and simplicity for raising our fitness bar, where everyone, regardless of their current conditioning, can start their life changing fitness journey. Problem is that the book doesn’t come with a log, a tool essential to overall success of our journey.

Welcome to this app. It is true to the book, the pictures jog your memory on how to do the exercise and is a simple and easy way to plan and schedule your workout then log your progress.

In conclusion, buy the book, get the app and be amazed at how much your fitness progressed over the year. Breathtaking, no pun intended.

  • Effective and honest

Strait to the point started the workouts one by one able to do most all of them in a small room which doesnt require much equipment
  • keeps changing app features for more $

I paid $4.99 for full access and now it’s an additional $4.99 for features that were included originally. Scam!
  • Better than nothing

But missing some key usability features. Mostly wish there was a way to reschedule a day. There’s no easy way to do your workout a day early, or snooze it to do it tomorrow instead. If you try to do a workout on an off day, you have to manually add the exercise by name, and you can only add one for some reason. Then you have to go to the Journal and edit the entry to add something else. Flexing workout days is something I do at least once a week and it stinks the app really doesn’t facilitate that at all.

Unrelated but it would also be nice if it showed the suggested warmup (iirc, the prior version of the movement, for a few sets), and if the “complete this set” button actually respected whether you filled out the third tier or not.

  • Awesome app!

Awesome app, unfortunately I can’t export any of the data generated which makes it unusable for any 3rd party integrations. The backup file is a binary which doesn’t allow me to import it anywhere else. This is a downside. Everything else is great!
  • Great program, basic app

I just bought Convict Conditioning the book, which I’d seen, but went ahead after getting the app. I skimmed the book pretty quick and love how simple it is - most anyone can do this. I love how it emphasizes building base and how it is reminiscent of basic physical education concepts. My biggest problem with the app is that how to progress is unclear. I’m an experienced athlete, so I understand how progression is personal and read the last part of the book about suggestions, but this part of the program and app is still a little weak and unclear to me. Adding one rep a day is ok if you’re starting at a level that is way below your ability, but would quickly overwhelm if you were already at a challenging point. The software doesn’t add the rep for you anyway, so I don’t get the point of that setting at all. Also, I want to do it everyday, and the programs seem extremely conservative - only 6 exercises a week? I feel like I must be missing something here. Nonetheless, I like the exercises and program and guess I’ll do them daily, progressing a step in unison every few days or so, with at least a day off. It’s functional, and you could probably even do without the book. But, the book also has excellent tips about execution; without it you will be missing out on the intended variations of the program.

  • Best App so far

I think this is the best fitness app I have used.
  • Needs some maintenance

Its functional and buggy. Daily rep progression doesn’t work and the forum button crashes the app. Seems like the developer isn’t maintaining the app.
  • So much better than pen and paper

Great for cc. I think the app has more capacity than you am using. I am just using it to track my reps/sets and for the reminder notifications. It tracks cc exactly. Glad to upgrade to thank the developer.
  • Overall a great app

This is the CC tracker I’ve wanted. I love how I can select a schedule or make my own. The little figures illustrating the exercises means I do not have to pull up my e book for review. Saving to the cloud is a great touch so I can use my phone or iPad and stay on schedule.

I have encountered a bug. The forum doesn’t work for me. At first it was because I had not enabled it to see my iCloud. However, after enabling iCloud for the app it still doesn’t work. When I select forum it minimizes the app and opens nothing.

It would also be nice to have a contact the developer button so I could report issues or send ideas directly.
