The app works fine when I want to diagnose check engine light codes on my 10 year old Hyundai - I wish it would keep a record of the recent history of thrown codes, if it has this feature I couldn't find it. Would be helpful to have that information stored to show a history of issues to the mechanic.

What a bit of kit!!
Bought this along with the official dongle for my Audi A3 8v primarily for when I need to replace rear pads. Have tried the customisation and unlocked some higher end features like visual reverse indication on MMI, Cylinder on demand display when activated, chirp on lock/unlock, dial sweep and lap timer to name but a few. Easily done with simple select and save option. Am now part of beta testing and the guys respond super quick when communicating with them. No need to spend loads on a big old plug in unit, this is versatile simple to use and you have it to hand whenever you fancy messing about a bit. Sure the diagnostic aspect will be just as good but luckily not needed t yet. 5 stars easily... recommend without hesitation

Great app but too expensive
The app works exactly as advertised, I was able to reset my service due warning and make some customizations I never knew possible on my Audi. Great job guys! However, the only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because of the ridiculous yearly pricing! I find this app seriously overpriced. It seems to me that for a regular user who needs the app roughly twice a year to reset some service due warning it shouldn't cost that much! Why can't we just pay one time fee and that's it?...It seems much more suitable...

Unbelievable customer service
This is the first review I’ve ever written in here but I need to tell everyone how incredible they are here at Carista. I have been using their app since it came out and it really works well. I recently emailed them asking if they can add a customization that I wanted. I wanted to be able to add the ability to add paddle shifters to my Audi A7. They created a beta version with that in it and sent it to me in less then a week to try. It worked great. They followed up with me to see if I was happy. Now that’s customer service. Thanks guys.

Got this manly to disable/remember last setting of the dreaded stop/start. But this function is not yet available on my current model.
Activated large digital speedo, alarm sound on lock/unlock , only unlock drivers door on first key press and some other minor functions. Can the stop/start be added for 2018 model, this was the main reason for the purchase.
Only the 4 stars because of stop/start not being available.

I was hoping for a little more
To be 100% honest I was thinking that this is going to be a little more of a customizability as well as the diagnostics, and while it does both amazingly well, I just kind of felt like it fell a little short when it comes to customizing. I have a 2013 CC, And I’d say probably 75-85% of the options were available In one of the many menus on the dashboard, And now I know this isn’t the case with some cars, but I sort of felt that they’re needed to be more to justify a $40 a year price tag on-going

So easy!
Carista is really good. It was so easy to diagnose and customise my BMW 318d. I had purchased a cable and given up setting up the laptop based software before purchasing the Carista dongle. It can’t do everything that a full cable connection can do. But, it suited my needs perfectly.
I will not continue the subscription though. I did the customisations that I wanted and it helped me to diagnose why my air-conditioning was not working effectively. However, If I get a fault light or need to reset any service intervals I will definitely subscribe again. A pay monthly would be more effective for me me though.
