Can the app get alerts outside the USA?
I’m curious about if the app can get alerts outside of the USA? Would be a great bonus for tourism. I know the Red Cross is international. Would be a great app for our military bases overseas to be able to shelter in place on military bases. Does the Red Cross provide apps similar to this for military bases in other countries?
Just be careful with the app. For example tonight it failed to send me any notification that strong winds were coming to my area. I got into the app to check my settings. Turned out wind warnings were turned off. Finally figured out the app didn’t think I had any Internet connection when I did. I wouldn’t be able to write this comment about any Internet connection. If you’re not getting any notifications from the app double check your Internet connection. And double check the app itself is seeing the Internet.Show lessJohn Goodin
Truly annoying!
I have this app set up for several different areas in the country where I have family and friends that I I’m concerned about the weather and other events in their areas. I swear this app pops up a notice about the same thing about every 10 or so minutes before writing this I just cleared over a dozen notices I’d received in the last hour for three of the locations. Before I could even tap the star rating three new alerts popped up from the areas that I just cleared. you need to adjust the only time that these alerts come out is upon initial issue upon notification of change of this condition or cancellation of the alert. This every 10 minutes repeat thing makes me want to delete your app which is counterproductive to notifying people of events could cause potential harm to life and property. If a fix doesn’t come out soon, I am likely going to just delete this app.Show lessSnip€hunter
Emergency Storm Radio
Some people have reviewed the app saying it’s too loud even when they turn the volume down on my phone. If I’m about to get blown away by a tornado or some other emergency, I expect it to be loud and wake me up or disturb me when I have my phone on quiet. A great app to have there’s several different settings for things like hurricanes, tornadoes, natural disasters you can pick the events you want to be notified about. I live out in the county where we don’t have any tornado sirens so this is a personal tornado siren.Show lessstudmuff-n
