Skillsoft iPhone App

Very useful app as it allows users to access courses anytime/anywhere.

I'm currently doing the PMP courses and the app helps a great deal, it gives me access on my iPhone which is a break to PC access and its lighter ;0)

Many thanks Skillsoft team.

So slow

Improve yourself in minutes.... providing you can be bothered to wait for the screen to refresh... even on an iPhone 8 and WiFi. God help anyone on anything less.

Like the website skillsoft doesn’t really do workflow, just creates sets of stuff which are hard to manage and work through. So far I’m tempted to just uninstall it

Some books have guides they advise you to print off - be good if we had access to those to support learning

Great app

Great app, helping me a lot with certification studying

Worst app ever

I have tried to Set up the app 3 times now and it doesn’t recognise my email and password. However, it recognises my email to send the password reset. But when I change it it doesn’t work. Awful!!!

No offline viewing, must be on WiFi?

Rather struggling to see the point of this as a mobile app? Surely the main use case is on a commute? It even has a “use mobile data” option which it completely ignores.

Bad

This app is bad, and I mean BAD. I wouldn’t normally take the time to write a review, I would prefer to spend the time looking for a better app, but it seems I’m stuck with it, since the IIBA chose it. It’s incredibly ugly, it makes it incredibly difficult to read books on it, since they don’t hesitate to cut off some of the text on every page. On an iPad, it’s even worse. It you try to adjust the text size, it goes from way too small to way too big, with no option in between. And the layout! Have you never heard of margins? Shame on you for doing such bad work!

Extremely poor

This app has so many bugs and missing features that seems to be unfinished. From errors like closed caption disappearing from one video to the next one in auto play mode to the excessively difficult process to create and populate a group in Favorites (which requires so many taps to add each class and then manually sort, not saying that there is not enough information to know the position of each class and the app doesn’t sort it by itself) to the play button that is not shown in certain cases when changing the view mode to most incredible requirement I have seen in these kind of apps: it doesn’t work if you’re not connected to WiFi.

It means that if you’re on the road and want to watch your videos, you will need a second device providing WiFi through a personal hotspot because otherwise the app does not even open the screen to see the list of videos of the course.

This is just a sample or bugs and bad design, but there are many more. I will be happy to share it with the programmers since I use a lot the app because I need it and want to see a much better version soon.

Rubbish

I changed my password just to be logged straight off and the new password I just created doesn’t work. After doing this two more times I gave up.

Useless unless on WiFi

Imagine my delight when, after weeks of trying to open the app, it gets updated to work on iOS11. Great o can now chip away at my learning during my commute!

Oh wait...I can’t view any course material over cellular? And I can’t download when I’m on a WiFi connection? Way to go 🙈

Whoever the product owner is for this app needs to take lessons in UX. Don’t create a mobile app if you can’t actually use it.
