Tracking/updating status in app
The app requires you to have location services set to “always available” so they can track your location and see when you arrive to a job, but they fail to mark you as “on scene” when you get to a job. You can also only mark a job complete after “arriving on scene” so if they fail to mark you on scene and you perform the service you can’t mark it complete. Once complete you can call and let them know the service was complete, but you will be 5-20 minutes “late” on your ETA which will affect your provider score. The advantage of this app is they’re the newest motor club and technologically the most advanced, but all the old school clubs use towbook which blows honk out of the water on user interface. Yes you can connect honk to towbook however if they call to offer a job it will not be received on towbook, only through the honk app, resulting in issues. I hope honk will fix these issues, but reviews from years ago would suggest they will not. Great concept; horrendously executed.Show lessJNS Roadside
Great app for service providers
Great app for service providers that like a little extra on the side. Doesn’t pay too much but if you are slow it’s better than nothing at all. Good job app creators. GPS tracked so if you go anywhere and are active, they will send you jobs in that area!jesus_299
Pay card
Honk is refusing to pay me through direct deposit. So they send you this VIRTUAL card that’s in their name. That I can not use since my name isn’t on the card. I’ve emailed them everyday to get no response about me not being able to use the money that I’m earning. I’ve tried to add the cars to my cash app, add it to my wallet, pay bills. All denied. Spoke with someone today he refused to our a supervisor on the phone then hung up in my face.Show lessDecent app ruined
Not worth the trouble
Save yourself the troops . Never pays correctly, I drove 38 miles and they tried to pay me $49 to change a tire on a Winnebago . I tried to cancel the job and explain to them what type of vehicle it was and they wouldn't even grant GOA. I drove 22 miles for $46 to change a tire on a Honda Civic , make that make sense. They don't care about vehicle type or the miles you have a drive. And ole boy , don't get a claim, they will believe the customer regardless. It's no investigating, customer can make up anything and they will believe them. I wish could screen shot all the dumb stuff I went through with this app. That honking! Don’t bother
Unbeknownst to me, my insurance company used honk for roadside assistance, and the company that they sent to tow my car was complete garbage. They weren’t insured, we’re not knowledgeable in towing and they destroyed the transmission of my car over a simple flat tire. Wouldn’t trust honk because they clearly don’t vet who they hire to come help you. Call a tow company yourself and pay for it, you’ll be better off.Show lesskespenguin
App almost useless due to its limitations
It's all crashed, with almost no option to deal with the calls. No way to add photos or videos, no way to see the job price, no way to update services, change scopes, or add charges. Sometimes jobs simple don't appear on Honk if accepted on Towbook. When Honk cancel a call, towbook won't update the information. When a call is cancelled we don't have any way to check informations. Sometimes we are 1 minute from the customer and we have no way to talk to them. Even happens that the customer cancel after the job is done and we lost completely access to the job. Horrible
We’re in Atlanta where traffic is horrendous. It can take us an hour to get to a job sometimes because of the nonstop traffic. The app will penalize you for being late. It doesn’t take into consideration traffic. They app will give you 15 minutes to arrive at a call that may be an hour away. Several times they will cancel the call when we’ve arrived and not compensate. If you are working on another call, they will penalize you for being late to a new call, even though you told them you’re still on a previous service. They won’t allow you to set your own hours. They will call your phone everyday, all day, at all hours of the day and night. When we are logged out of the app they will call instead to harass us to take calls. We are logged out why are you calling us! Log out means no calls and leave us alone. They pay very little for calls and aren’t really worth the hassle. If you’re just starting out they will get you started but if you’re established don’t waste your time.Show lessBigMamaYaya
Horrible experience working with them
Horrible experience im the owner of a tow company in Ca and will not work with them ever again they dont only pay very little for there services but the worst is that if u service a customer of theres and that customer decided to make a damage claim on ur company after a month of service well Honk will try to make u pay for that damage even if u have photos of before hook up and have a sign damage waiver from customer well thats not enough for Honk they will push u to pay ANY Damages that there customer claim u did so there for i told them im not in the business to make money them spend it on there customer that claim damages without any proof oh by the way if u dont pay they put ur account on hold lol.Show less😜😜😜😜😜😀🎐🔫㊗️⛔️↩️

The app is overall a good app although the business and costumer service needs allot of work
Getting a job is no problem and it pays about 65 for a winch but they pay through virtual credit card which u only sometimes can access and costumer support continuously hangs up on you and does not resolve problems instead they tell you to use phone system or email accounts payable that does not email backShow lessvollmers recovery
Criminals
Do none of the work and pay us roadside guys less than a quarter of earnings. Charged my customer $150 paid out total of $23 after taxes and fuel to me. These guys will work you for less than minimum wage. Start a google profile. People will call you direct.CDEEBAR
