  • Worst app and customer support ever

    No support when I call. They tell me to call my Internet Provider who in turn tells me to call Heil’s My Observer’s Customer support. Worst experience with the AC and the app and thermostat. Fed up! Do NOT use this system!!!
    Be forewarned and save yourself a lot of time and stress!
  • No longer works

    It didn’t do a whole lot when it did work, but I can’t change the temp anymore. Looks like the app has been abandoned by the developer.
  • Not a good app but works

    I don’t write a ton of reviews but figured I would for this app. It works to control the thermostat. That’s about it. Apparently the variable speed furnaces won’t work with other smart thermostats or I would replace it. It is very simplistic and hard to use. They could drastically improve their ratings (if they care) if they just had someone write a new app that sort of looked nice and was easy to use. If you use any other smart thermostat apps (ie Nest) you will be disappointed.

  • Working just fine

    I’ve had it for several years. No real problems. Takes a bit to communicate but I figure that is a built in delay. I’m happy with it.
  • New Unit

    Had to have my Observer wall unit replaced. Deleted the old unit off my account and added the new one and reconnected the app. Could control original unit from app. Now changes on the app do not change the wall unit and the app just resets back to the wall unit settings every time. Very disappointing given todays technology.

  • Not working at all!

    My app shows that it's connected and my wall thermostat shows it's connected but my app has not refreshed or updated since July. According to the app at 6:46 PM outside and 85°. Something is wrong and I don't know how to fix it. I can no longer use the app to control the thermostat at all. I looked at the website and it wasn't very helpful it seems pretty outdated actually.

  • Never had an issue with it 4 YEARS

    Not sure what these folks expect. I’ve never had an issue since it was installed. Might be that people need to read the directions and learn how to use it.
  • Thermostat freaked out

    Had to have installer replace face of thermostat downstairs. From that point on, I have lost control via the phone app. I removed the downstairs system and added it back, which then updated all the current info. But then, the current status of the system would never update. So I’m stuck looking at whatever the thermostat was reading at the time I added the system online. Any changes I make via the phone app do not save or go into effect on the actual thermostat. Serial number, MAC address, and PIN numbers have all been updated. I go online to try to change settings and it tells me I need Adobe flash player that no longer is supported or works. Observer corporate needs to hop into the current decade with their software design.

  • Horrible app; please fix!!!

    This app kinda worked initially when I bought my new AC over 3 years ago. However, as time has passed it has become less responsive to attempts to adjust the temperature and would randomly indicate “An error occurred while attempting to connect to the server.“ I upgraded to an IPhone 7 in November, and now I cannot sign in to the app at all. It will let me sign in to my account online, but it won’t let me change the settings on there either; it sends me back to the broken app! 😡 Please fix this app!

  • Not reliable

    Why the Hell do we have to control out HVAC system through a third party is beyond me. The connectivity is often down (cellular and wireless) and I don’t believe the app is upgraded in tune with IOS updates. So, you end up getting out of bed to change temperatures the old fashioned way.
