  • Great App with recent updates

I noticed the last reviews were from 3+ years ago. I use this app with my Ricoh GR III Diary Edition. I transfer my photos from the camera to my iPhone quickly. You can instantly upload your photos to instagram with ease. No issues. Five stars.
  • Image Sync v. 2.1.15

I find this app very useful. It’s really easy to connect to my iphone and i can share photos very fast. I use it at least weekly.
  • Can be finicky about connecting, but works!

It took a bit to connect the first time. I thought it was broken. Once connected, it seems to work well, though transmission speeds are slow.
  • Useless for RAW import

Just got this app set up with my KP and iPad Pro. First thing I noticed is no landscape mode in the app. Once I got the Wi-Fi connected import is kinda slow and limited to one image at a time. Once the RAW image is imported I can’t do anything with it. The Photo app shows a blank image with the EXIF data (no PEF support?). Affinity photo can see the Image Sync folder but shows nothing in it - Apple’s Files app is the same situation. I can’t move the RAW images as they don’t show, and the Image Sync app doesn’t connect directly with Dropbox or Google Drive, so no way to transfer the RAW images to cloud services. Once I disconnect the camera and go into the Image Sync app the RAW images show as blanks… so what am I supposed to do with this app? It’s completely useless for RAW import and editing on the go. Save your time and buy an SD card dongle.

Update: I found a way to move RAW files into Affinity Photo for editing. After importing Raw from your Pentax with Image Sync open the Photo app, export the blank RAW to a cloud service (Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud…), once the RAW uploads go into Affinity and open/redownload the RAW file… so basically download, upload, then download again. Unfortunately I can’t export from Apple’s Photo app directly to Affinity, and Image Sync has no file management or linking to cloud services… I’d rather use an SD card dongle than go through this process with Image Sync again.

  • Terrible app-Ricoh should be ashamed

This is terrible excuse of an app. I bought the Ricoh GRIII and have been trying to link to my IPhone. The link is unstable and glitchy.

It just doesn’t work! If there is a good reason not to buy any of Ricoh’s products-this is it. At this day and age, junk apps like this should not be publish least by a mature company!

  • Works exactly as described

Works perfectly for me every time. FYI, when you enter the info required by the app, everything is case sensitive.
  • No longer transfers images

After a recent update to either iOS or the app, it no longer transfers images from my GRIII. Nothing gets saved to the device camera roll.
  • Painful, slow, odd

I didn’t try too long to use this app. After setting up my phone to talk over wifi with the camera I started wondering why I’d want to route the photos through my phone to get them to my computer. Since I had to click on each photo to transfer them individually, I had loads of time to think. After five or so, I opted to transfer them directly off the as card. That took a couple of seconds. Not even enough time to delete the app.

  • Just stopped working-wish there was an alternative

Just completely stopped working. It worked for a couple years but after an update 6 months ago it no longer does. My phone will show that I’m connected to my camera via wifi but I open image sync and it says that it’s not connected. No matter what I do I cannot get my image sync to work again. So frustrating that it worked for a couple years and then just like that I’m not longer able to use this app whatsoever

  • Transfers Photos Flawlessly

This is my first Pentax with Wi-Fi, and this app works perfectly - seems more reliable than the process was on my Sony even with the lack of NFC in the camera.
