  • Awful

Update. Bluetooth and GPS still DOES NOT WORK! My location is over the middle of Pacific Ocean. Good luck getting this to work with the Ricoh GR III! This app is supposed connect to said camera via Bluetooth for geotagging. Camera has been out since Feb 2019 and functionality still doesn’t work. All we get are apologies from Pentax/Ricoh. Unacceptable. I’d give this App zero stars if possible.

  • It works pretty good. GR3 user

When you connect to the WiFi it says no internet connection. Disregard that and proceed, you’ll find that it is in fact connected. When you have the app open and you see your pictures start to appear on your phone, press play on your camera so that a picture is on the lcd screen, I’m not sure why but this seems to make a big difference. Also, you’ll probably need to change the auto sleep mode on your camera to off, I did but not sure if necessary. If you have the app running too long it will stop working and you need to close and reopen the app. I find it best to transfer smaller amounts of photos at a time but I have transferred over 15 at once.

  • App is trash, Devs should go back to school

I’ve seen better coding written in a high school game jam then this app. Do yourself a favor and go back to school and learn how to make a app work properly.
  • Stay with making cameras, not apps

I thought the APP was a brilliant idea to quickly download photos so I didnt have to take a laptop with me with an SD card reader. But this app is very poor but has potential. I keeps crashing if I go to see the photos that I took a day or two ago. I try to be patient but I cant rely on it to get my photos out of my GR.

  • Wish I could transfer images

I used to love this App. Now it keeps closing on me and I cannot transfer my images to my mobile device. I can’t seem to find the delete image button either. It also has mixed older dated images with new ones just taken.
  • Great idea terrible execution

The app fails to move images I’d say about 70% percent of the time. If your patient enough to spend a hour trying to move the same images over and over you’ll love this app.
  • Slow below usable

It takes minutes just to display icons on camera. Can this app be assigned to true programmers? Some than understand basic design tenants like doing image transfer in the background and allowing user interface to actually be interactive?
  • Garbage app

Cost money to buy GRII which supports wireless transferring photos. Thought this is awesome, but this app is simply garbage. After transferred photos and I backed up my photos to iCloud, there are no photos on my phone anymore, but this app still took my all storage and never release the empty storage back to me. Every time after transfer photos, I must delete this app once to release storage back, then download again to use for next transferring. So get tired of this. Ricoh's IT programmers are just garbage!

  • Please fix - Updated

Updated: The 2.0.1 update appears to have fixed issues syncing issues. I was able to transfer single images as well as groups of images without issue. The app is much more intuitive than earlier versions and finally appears to be the fully functional and usable app it was promised to be.

I was able to download images with the previous version, though very slow and it wasn’t very intuitive on how. With version 2 I can’t even download images one at a time. It just stays at 0% for 5-10 minutes even with my my camera (k70) a couple inches away. I was able to get a couple to show progress to 100% after waiting an incredibly long time but it would just get stuck there and wouldn’t finish. It also seems to drain the battery on my iPhone incredibly quickly. On the plus side the user interface is easier to use and more intuitive. Too bad it doesn’t work.

  • Simply doesn’t work anymore

Prior to the 2.0 update, the app was finicky and awkward to use but it at least worked. Now, the app simply doesn’t work, period. The thumbnails won’t load, I cannot transfer any of my photos from my GR ii to my iPhone, and it has become an absolute disappointment. Ricoh, please fix this. It’s a shame that I now cannot use the very feature that was supposed to make upgrading to a GR ii worth it.
