Keeps crashing & doesn’t connect to my Garmin

So many things wrong with this app (and also the website). App keeps crashing. Doesn’t connect to a Garmin tracker, so you have to go thru a convoluted Apple health app to send data to the Sharecare app. Then on the app and website, the programs (rewards etc) are complicated. You have to click all over the place to find out what to do to earn money from your employer. It’s easy to miss something (think they designed it deliberately that way to keep people from completing rewards and getting their money). But mostly my complaint about the app it that it keeps freezing, so I have to log onto the website w my laptop to see if it has synched my data or not. That’s way too much work. Then I have to add data manually. Hate it.

Great content poor mgt, maneuverability

This app has really great content, full of positivity and encouragement, as well as providing useful and very helpful information and guidance, however things like tracking your progress especially daily can be annoying. Sometimes I cannot get to this every day, too many days missed and tracking difficulties, finding things like past rewards tough as well. I got so aggravated trying to figure out tracking past days screaming at my phone I logged off the next day back on and spent Gid knows how long trying again finally finding it. Also signed up for Hydration challenge and it took me on grateful challenge. I went back to find the hydration challenge and it was gone. Trying AGAIN this month for hydration challenge, but that was totally frustrating. Also, previously signed up for challenges on the start date and others already in it with progress a day ahead. HOW is that possible?
This entire app should be simple, plain and simple not someone’s “idea” of simple at the end of the day any extra stress is defeating the purpose of this.

Needs work

1 Challenges are only available on certain calendar months. It doesn’t notify you when they start so it may not be possible to complete the challenge by the time you realize it has begun. (The data for my walking is on my watch/phone for the past five years so it could pull from that data). It doesn’t notify you that a challenge is about to start.
2 It is hard to navigate the app, it takes a long time to figure out how to apply credits.
3 There need to be more ways to get your credits, some health screenings are once every 10 years.

Mostly good, but a few issues

I’d give it a 5 if it not for these issues.

Why is this app not available for the iPad? Makes no sense especially because of the second issue - the size of some content is too small, especially when the app opens a web page within the app (like the forms that open to print the biometric forms).

Then thirdly, once you get the biometric form in the app, there is NO WAY to print it! None! Why do this? And it’s been this way for a few years. It seems deliberate. You get to the complete form and then have to start over in a web browser. Why?!

It could be better

I like the idea of the app and use it somewhat. I would use it more and enjoy it more if it didn’t show info on articles that don’t pertain to me. I decided to follow some articles that I’m interested in but my home page shows so many others mixed in that I don’t bother looking at the ones I’m following. When I log in for the day it asks me questions that I’ve already said I don’t do. Like I don’t smoke or drink and it’ll ask me how many cigarettes did I smoke today or how many drinks did I drink today. Now that’s ridiculous cause if I’ve said I don’t do it then stop asking. If I click on a challenge or activity to read about it and look at it, it will automatically put me in it. And I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to do for the challenge or activity. Because of these things I know I will eventually stop using it all together.

Keeps getting worse

Forced to use this app in order to get a credit thru work. Used to be able to simply go to the gym 12x/month. This app often just skips chunks of tracked days. Support will say, you have to open the app at least once a week (boiler plate response = they didn’t read and understand my complaint). Guess what, I open the app every day or two in order to try and avoid the issues.. nothing changes. I tell them this, and they just tell me again, you have to open it more frequently. So basically they aren’t gonna fix it cause they don’t even acknowledge there is an issue with the app.
Today, when I inquired why their app can’t go back and look for data on missed days and they they told me they can only access the previous 7 days. So when I am missing 5 consecutive days, they assume I’m lying and didn’t sign into the app for 12 days?? That should be the only way 5 days of data is missing. BUT the kicker is, I sign into it every day or every other day. And this ordeal happens every few weeks.
I know I’m ranting a bit, but this is quite frustrating. And then when I send a screenshot of step data from the health app as proof, I’m told that they can submit them for review (as if they’d have a reason to deny it), but they’d only submit my screenshots if I do the real age test again. Wow

Thanks for taking the time to review the Sharecare App. I'm sorry to hear about the issue you've experienced with the app. Depending on the rewards program, some may require the RealAge test each new program year to Unlock Rewards. We'd be happy to work with you to get the tracking issue resolved. Please email us at customersupport@sharecare.com when checking your challenge page and noticing any previous days not loaded. Our team will research your request and get back to you. Sharecare Customer Service

Well integrated

I appreciate having almost everything health related in one place. One thing I would have them change is when you tap on the notification to take your pills, have it open straight to the place where you record todays entries, and default in the number of pills for the entry. It should be tap on notification, tap save and todays entry is done.

Not sure… but indicative perhaps.

This is an interesting app. I wanted to give direct feedback but perhaps a review is easier. The units of measurement in the surveys don’t seem to be specified. I assumed it was a US based company so entered info accordingly. Feedback about diet and BMI also seem quite skewed. Perhaps adding questions about body type might improve BMI problems (well known as indicator)… weight plus waist measurement (which doesn’t seem to work properly) gives a misleading result I suspect. Feedback about what to improve didn’t map with what was entered in surveys. Maybe it’s a data entry issue. But still, nice to use and (since I know my own health situation) I wasn’t worried but others might be sensitive and freak out (we all relate to authority of aps differently.) This does seem important. If the ap creates new stress for someone, rather than measured, accurate feedback, that would counter its obvious aims. Of course, it’s hard to do well and this one does its best.

Love it but wish it didn’t focus on steps so much

I really like this app a lot, especially all of the good articles. They are short but informative. The only thing I don’t like is the emphasis on step counts. I wish there was a way to track other measures of activity besides steps. I regularly use an elliptical/stationary bike combo machine and do ashtanga yoga (which is pretty strenuous!). Those things don’t rack up many steps so it appears that I am much less active than I actually am. I would love it if the app would sync with my Apple watch that I use to track workouts.

Missing promised tabs

Downloaded the app and immediately noticed the wallet icon/tab missing along with the Find A Participating Gym. I contacted support and was told the app a ticket was created to fix the issues. A second family member with this same app is having the same issues.... I am not able to update this app via the App Store. My only choice is to wait for their "support" to fix the current issues.
