Reviews of Blackjack

  • Quality App

Did I initially think the shoe was stacked against me? Sure did. But after rebuying three times, I've more than tripled my $20k 'bankroll' to over $70k. Will likely purchase the pro version, though I don't think it's necessary to practice. The best things about it are how many hands I can play in a short time, the lack of intrusive ads, and not having to wait for more chips. Highly recommend.
  • Im not sure about this compared to a casino…

I worked in a casino dealing blackjack for a few years. Since there is not really any actual money being won or lost during play I don’t understand why it feels like the cards drawn are more heavily weighted in favor of the casino. The cards never seem to fall in favor of a player who is playing correctly…. Hitting, staying, splitting, doubling down, etc. On the other hand, as a dealer, I’ve never gotten so many blackjacks, or drawn 4 or 5 cards to win a hand. I think if the cards were as random as they should be the play would be more realistic and help players to understand how playing correctly, even though it might not seem correct, can lead to success.

    Developer Response

I assure you that the shuffle is absolutely random. If you have the Pro upgrade you can use the Cheats settings to view the entire shoe or put a 6-card look-ahead on the game table. In any case, there is no incentive for me, as the developer, to rig the game in favor of the dealer. There's no real money involved as there would be if the app required you to purchase chips. The only result would be unhappy users. I hope that helps! Mark
  • The only good blackjack app!

I literally just downloaded the 7 most popular blackjack apps for iPhone and tried them one at a time. No other app has as many positive features as this one. In fact only one other app was even remotely close. This app:
    1) Doesn’t constantly beg you to buy chips
    2) Doesn’t force you to watch an ad literally every other hand.
    3) Actually advertises how many decks are in play. (And isn’t lying about it)
    4) Tells you the cut penetration which no other apps I tried did (likely because the others are faking it)
    5) Has a very enjoyable rule set by default
    6) Doesn’t constantly beg you to buy chips
    7) Doesn’t force you to watch an ad literally every other hand.
    8) If you’ve played any other blackjack app then within 5 minutes of using this one you’ll see that this one is better. Just try it.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the kind words! Many features (like those you list) are the result of user suggestions. If you have any suggestions for further improvement, please contact me through the app (Settings > Feedback > Fix/improve it). Mark
