Incredible App!
I never thought I could be this organized and it’s so easy!!!! I simply scan my groceries as I unload them. That simple! You get pictures of the items and the app learns what categories and where they are located (like garage freezer, pantry, etc )
If you doubt getting this app, I can tell you it has saved me so much money from buying duplicate items and even throwing out food!! BTW you can put expiration dates and it will keep track!!! Have you ever started a recipe thinking you have all the ingredients and find out you don’t? Not anymore! You will know before you start to cook.
It’s totally affordable and it’s so nice to know what I have on hand with the ability to keep track of what you’ve used, add things to your grocery list, and take your list with you to the store!!!! So easy!!

Excellent! I have been waiting for an app like this for years!
This app works so well at entering my food stock! I have common problems….expired food, buying double and triple of items because I forget if I have it, or it’s in the downstairs pantry that I need but don’t see often enough!
It allows many locations….I have 10+ locations such as fridges, freezers, cupboards, basement, laundry area, etc. I like to have one in the kitchen pantry and 2 in the basement pantry.
During the day I will glance at the freezer stock and think about dinner ideas…..it’s amazing!
It’s worth every penny!!

Great for forgetful shoppers
Whenever something is on sale at the grocery store, I stock up without checking how much I already have. This app has single-handedly kept my pantry from overflowing with 1000 sale items. The free version probably supports enough items for anyone who lives alone, and I love that I can add new items to the database quickly and easily. Overall a great UI that is very easy to use, highly recommended!

I love this app!!!
It’s so great when you’re working on something, you think “is there an app for that“ and you go find one. And then that app is so perfect that every time you think “I wish it did…“, you find that it already does! Soyou don’t spend any time comparing it to a different app because you already love it, and you want to give them money whether or not you need to, because they came up with such a great app!

Did not record all inventory
Spent 1 hour scanning over 200 products, when completed, only about 30 items were in my inventory.
The bar codes produced the picture of the actual product, so what gives. Do I have go back and it again? Not happy as no warnings came up

Amazing app- I have a request
I got this app after discovering I was accidentally hoarding food. I have limited kitchen space and could never tell how much I had of something, be it in the cabinets or freezer. I still have to add my freezer items actually. I would just keep buying stuff out of fear I was out of it.
But I was wondering if there could be a way to see items that were deleted/used? I feel like that could help me keep track of what I have used as well. But that is just individual preference. I used a few things already and couldn’t remember if I removed them or not. If I saw them in a used/deleted list then I’d know. Not sure if that’s useful to others or just me.

Great App
Really good App really helps when shopping and definitely saves a lot of money would highly recommend
Not very fat finger friendly
I got this app because my household went from 3 adults to only me overnight. All of a sudden, I had so much food in my pantry and refrigerator! I had to learn new ways to eat healthy and not waste food, especially fresh fruits and veggies. This app really filled my need. It is labor intensive at first, but once you get the routine down, the rhythm flows.
My biggest complaint is that there is no “undo” button for inventory or shopping lists. I am constantly erasing entries by accident because of my clumsy fingers. The sliding gage that you set the %used is too close to the “finished” button. It takes more time to have to re-set up the product in my inventory again than it would to just reverse the last action (as when editing a photo of a new product). My second complaint is that when you enter a new food item and assign a new location, it automatically assigns the food category, and it’s not always what I would have selected. I have to do a separate search for the item that I just set up to figure out how the app classified it. If it showed me the automatic classification before transferring it into inventory , I could have the chance to edit the category to what I wanted it to read before I added it to inventory.
I really like the app and purchased the upgrade. It has helped me cut down on impulse or duplicate food buying and food waste from spoilage. Both have allowed me to save a significant amount of money on my budget.

Exactly what I needed!
I’ve been looking for a smartly designed app to help me keep track of food and household goods—with a barcode scanner and lots of features that didn’t take forever to learn. ***PANTRY CHECK is just that!*** The barcode scanner is perfect, and the categories of food, expiration, and storage location make organization logical and simple. I love how I can find a list of all my foods that are expiring without having to spend precious time looking at every can on the shelf every few months. I also greatly appreciate that because my inventory is always on my phone (with product pictures, too!), I can have this list with me all the time—no more brain freeze at the grocery store as I try to remember how many cans of chicken I have on the shelf! This app is definitely worth trying at the free level (200 items stored) to see if you want/need more storage (2k or 10k items). ***Worth noting: your items stored are whatever is active/current in your home, so if you scan in 5 cans of green beans but then use all 5 cans in a casserole, you delete (“finish”) that product entry and Pantry Check deletes 5 items from your active storage number. ***Some smart people designed this app, and they deserve 5 stars!

Not user friendly
Very hard to navigate. Adding inventory is easy but changing quantities or removing items should be much simpler.
Should be able to share the app and allow family members to use it, otherwise they have to write down what they use when you are not there. Might work for a single person but terrible for a family with kids old enough to cook.
Not worth the bother.

Response from developer
Hi Wazieness, as long as your family members sign-in with the same Pantry Check email and password on their devices, the app will automatically keep the inventory in sync and you can all share the single account. If you have any questions, please email us at support@pantrycheck.com
