Snip notes
Nothing free about this one...
Response from developer
The first line of the description text explicitly states that SnipNotes is a premium app, which you can try free of charge for 7 days. Unfortunately, there is no other way to offer a free trial on the App Store.

Syncing via iCloud works well.
SnipNotes uses straightforward text formatting which I like. The introduction of basic markdown is excellent, but as it is newly added it has a few bugs, but I’m sure they will get sorted soon. One shortcoming in the new markdown implementation is that I have not been able to capture the markdown markup so that I can continue working in markdown editors such as iA Writer.

Thank you very much for your review! I will add markdown export in an upcoming update. Please report the bugs you have encountered to support@snipnotes.de. This way I can fix them more quickly.
SnipNotes - A mind jogger
Would I buy it again? YES! It has solved a problem for me. Oh, you can easily export any note for other uses. Very nice.

Almost Perfect, Simple And To The Point

Thanks for your review! I plan to revamp the content detection feature in an upcoming update to make it more useful and less intrusive.
Watch settings don’t work.
Update: the nerve of this guy. It’s not my responsibility to help you fix your app; it’s YOUR responsibility to put out an app that works in the first place. Stop ripping people off and then blaming them for your mistakes. My watch is configured fine for everything else. Your app is causing the only problem. Go debug your app and stop blaming other people.
Response from developer
I didn't blame you for anything. I was just saying that there might be a communication problem between your iPhone and your watch because these settings are working as expected on my devices and for many other users. I didn't mean to imply that you are doing something wrong. It could very well be a bug in SnipNotes, but it could also be an issue with watchOS or with your device configuration. I tried to diagnose the problem with you (even on a Sunday), but you chose to quit the conversation.
Perfect app that syncs Watch & iPhone
Glad I found it
There are plenty of things to like. The cross-device syncing works flawlessly - between iOS devices, I have not tried the Mac app. There are URL scheme options available. You can change the appearance via the option to change the app’s color theme.
One of the main attractions is the feature to customize actions for each type of content that can be saved to SnipNotes. Which is almost anything.
A couple things have bugged me. Sometimes the app will incorrectly identify what type of note you have created. Just because a date is in the text doesn’t mean the note should be categorized as an appointment. Although you can manually change the note type to plain text. Also, I wish exporting notes was a little more consistent. For example, if I export a note to Evernote please match the title and body from SnipNotes to the new Evernote item. SnipNotes ignores the title and only sends the body of the text.
EDIT: Thanks for the update. I had no idea that the two Evernote actions would behave differently.
Response from developer
Thank you very much for your review! The export functionality will be improved in the next update so that it prepends the note's body text with its title. Evernote automatically sets the first line of an imported note as the title. You can also enable and use the "Send to Evernote" action (Settings => Configure Actions), which already sets the title field correctly.
