  • Great when it started, now it’s all dead

I haven’t been able to get a GD thing to load in over a year. The community presets are inaccessible, and that’s the whole reason I dropped money on these pedals. Lame
  • Mind is Blown

I see all these negative reviews and it is unfortunate. I personally have not had any issues using my Gemini Corus with this app and absolutely love the versatility and wide spectrum of presets to freely edit and burn onto my pedal. I’ve had this pedal for a year and never really even used it until I decided to try this mobile app. It is now my favorite pedal on my board.

  • Source Audio’s Neuro Keeps Getting Better!

I have SA’s amazing C4, EQ2, and Atlas pedals. The app isn’t slick, but it works well. It unlocks more features, accesses more presets, and allows for more precise adjustments. It also allows you to see all the edit features of other SA pedals you don’t yet own. Not all features are mentioned, much less explained in the documentation, so there’s room for improvement there. (This is an updated review.)

  • I use it for a C4

Horrible interface. A synth needs ADSR controls. Where are they? I get these drop downs that are labeled like for an envelope filter. I see two sequencers/arps. How do I start them? Why can’t I rename presets? Horrible design.
  • Great pedals; super buggy app

The pedals themselves sound great and are incredibly flexible and powerful. Unfortunately, much of the tweaking requires one to use either the app or desktop editor. Both contain major bugs and do not even work well together. For example, setting expression pedal parameters on the app (if they work at all) map to different parameters on the pedal and as shown in desktop editor. Source Audio customer support is generally quick to respond, but the response is often “That will be fixed in the next release” — and the app is only updated once a year or so. With some pedals, the app is a nice addition but not critical for use. Unfortunately, with SA pedals, the app or editor is absolutely necessary to get the most from the pedals.

  • I love the C4 synth - BUT...

The neuro desktop and iOS apps need some love!! The pedal is useless without either of the apps to modify, save, and define/save midi control parameters. So, you’re really paying for the apps when you buy the pedal and the apps have so many bugs.

While I have far fewer problems with the desktop app, the iOS app crashes every time I use it. I can’t figure out if I’m saving my presets. You can’t modify the names of the presets. Every time I open the app, I have to shuffle through all of the other pedal support platforms before I can find the C4 (and, hopefully the app doesn’t crash before then). I could go on, but I won’t.

This is very annoying when I’m playing with someone and I need to work out some other issue with the software or sound. It takes time, full concentration.... Creative mindset is over.

Source Audio: I love you, but I’m feeling really let down.

  • Library/Search do not work

Cannot browse or search the preset library. Just endlessly displays loading animation.
  • Excellent!!

I’ve been in the industry over 45 years. I have an engineering masters degree, but not from MIT. This app worked flawlessly the first time I used it with a Collider pedal, and the Windows desktop application also worked perfectly the fist time I used it. The pedal’s effects are top notch, the sound quality is excellent, and you can get a huge range of independent delay & reverb effects from this pedal. Highly recommended iOS app, desktop application, and pedal from Source Audio!

  • Waste of a potentially great pedal…(and $300!)

What a disappointment. When I initially bought the pedal, the app worked great. Then one day I logged on, and it would not connect. I tried the app on several different phones and iPads, but no luck. Many different cables, adapters, connectors, etc. No reply from the companies tech-support either.
  • Kinda works maybe sometimes .

Chinas made digital pedal what more can I say .. I worked once or twice with the phone then it won’t work with the phone . Is reliable in tron dumpling and thrust but if you need more than that it’s hit or miss may or may not connect with devices .. sad but I think in a few years blue tooth will solve this issue but in all honesty analog is where it’s at . Same old digital let down .:(
