Best free sports app
I heard about this app on NJ Soccer group page. I was a little hesitant about it because they said it was free ( nothing is free ) but I tried it. This app is totally free and it’s just like teamsnap. I no longer have to have parents ask me when is practice, when do we have games, where are the games. Parents and coaches—over billing and no customer service
I have been trying to contact someone there to cancel our subscription until the season starts up again. Unfortunately no response. Parents and coaches, beware that this app has no real customer service. You might have to go to your bank to fight the charge even after cancellation. This is a big headache. The app might have some benefits (remove those Temu ads) and messaging, but the hidden customer service, no response to feedback to parent suggestions, and charging after subscription ended makes me wary of using the app every again. Apple cannot help here. You have to pay through the site and that should’ve been the first red flag. There are alternatives out there with good user experience.Show lessLumbyloomp

It helps a lot, so my son and my daughter can connect with the friends without having the phone number in. It is very safe and it helps me connect to my kids as coaches and it helps to let me know when they have a game.Kayla Koester
Best sports managing app I have seen with one flaw
This is a great app, however, I have asked for a “like” “unlike” option to team messages from the coach, two years ago, but no change. Coach doesn’t want replies, he just wants an acknowledgment that the player agrees or disagrees.
You have this feature in the “chats” which is great. Please add it to the “team message “. I want to continue using this app, but that one feature is a huge problem.
Also, sometimes the notifications are not sent to the players. This seems buggy.Show lessjenls1000
LOVE this app!! As USER-FRIENDLY as it comes!!
I cannot rave enough about this app! Our school usually uses Shutterfly Share Sites and they seem to be confusing for every party involved and only allow the parents access. This gives coaches, parents, and teammates involved. Allowing multiple parents per child, in app payments for anything the parents may need to make payments for: dues, registration fees, jerseys/uniforms, etc. You are able to track payments or other items that are due like documents or physical forms. You can also post documents for the parents or players to download. The app allows messages to be sent to parents, team players, or both. Gives your team a social media thread that players, coaches, and parents have the ability to post on, and you are able to like and comment on each post. All parties are able to share photos with everyone as well. You can post you game schedule as well as other events and practices. There is much more you can do but these are my favorite capabilities. Sync issues with messaging
I have a paid version for my whole team. My parents have told me before that they do not get the messages but I thought they just aren’t looking or have push notifications off.
Now I have noticed not getting notifications and when I open the app, it still doesn’t show anything, my wife got a message from another admin and over 24hrs later I still don’t have it.
Support is none existing. I’ve emailed the 2x before and have not gotten any responses.

Ads are invasive
I realize that with a free version, you expect ads but the ads that come up whenever you respond to a notification are not only invasive (they are all full screen and, more often than not they have some sort of auto play video with sound) but some of them are also political. I’ve never seen a ad supported app with more obnoxious ads. I’d pay for the add free team option for my organization but that caps out at 50 team members.Show lesseb1171

I like the app. Seems to do a decent job so far of managing a swim team. The ads are annoying - it’s unclear if you have any option but to click on them to proceed. They seem to time out but they are generating clicks unethically. The app constantly asks to enable gps data. You can’t look up a team in an area by name. They ask for gps data or you have to manually place a pin on a map. I’d like to think that’s just innocent trying to add a cute helpful feature but seems much more likely that their advertisers want location data constantly which is very valuable. I haven’t enabled it yet (and looking down below I notice they haven’t provided apple yet with data on privacy practices) so extremely low trust (hence the rating).Show lessdaz10000

The gps location is needed so that the users can search for the team by name in their area and do not endup signing up for teams in different regions. Just name search can produce too many results making it difficult to find their team. Also, the location is used to give driving directions for the event.Pretty good app
This app is a great way for my teams to connect without clogging up our text feeds. Too many ads, though. I don’t know if there’s an ad-free Pro version. I guess I should look into that.PureJosie
Soooo many ads
I have multiple kids playing multiple sports. I also coach. And for all those teams, I have seen many “team manager” apps. So from my comparison of them, this one is at the bottom of my list for one reason. Ads. Tons of ads. I get it. Apps cost money, and this one is free...like my 12th cup of coffee. Trust me...nothing is free. You just pay in different ways. Just try your own comparison. All the good reviews of this app cite features that almost all of the competing apps have, too, so it doesn’t set itself apart there. But compared to those other apps, the time spent having an ad shoved in your face is noticeably higher with InstaTeam. For me, it’s past inconvenient and moved into aggravating to see a new 10-second ad every 3 clicks (or less). If you’ve got lots of time and patience, then by all means enjoy InstaTeam. Hope we can address your issues here. GPS location is used for users to search teams in their area. You can deny the location if you wish and still use the app. We do not send any spam emails. The ads in the app can also be turned off with the individual Ads Free subscription. You can purchase the subscription and it will give you control to turn off ads on all your devices including email. The team managers can also signup for Ads Free subscription to allows the team members to turn off ads. The FREE version of the app is supported via ads.
