Great way to learn true Portuguese on the go!
I need to learn Portuguese for the other half and have always found attempting to learn languages hard. I recently dove into another very popular language learning app Duo… and after a while came to realise it was only doing Brazilian Portuguese, not Portuguese-Portuguese. So time waisted but after looking around came across this app devoted to exactly that. So far it’s been a great easy to pick up way to learn the language, following flashcards and other ways to memorise the words then having multiple types of activities reinforcing the subject followed by a big test to see how well you’ve grasped it. Loving it so far, but do find the monthly subscription cost a little hard to swallow. But needs must unless an easier on the wallet way comes up. Deffo do recommend though it does seem like the perfect way to pick it up as you go.

Okay for Dari
I am an ESL teacher with a Master’s in TESOL. I already taught myself how to decode in Dari a little, but I am disappointed that the app anticipates an already fluent reader of another alphabet (especially one as obscure as Dari) without any lessons to learn the letters and their pronunciations first. The lessons are mainly flash cards, not many visuals except for fruit on the free version. I just took the test of Dari adjectives and got a 52%, which the app indicated was failing. I disagree with this grading practice. It would be more aligned to best practices in language assessment to measure my growth in the language as opposed to holding me to an arbitrary standard of fluency of a language I am learning. I am grateful that this app offers Dari, which DuoLingo does not, but there is much room for improvement in their practices. Hopefully it will continue to improve.

Ok for learning bengali but not from scratch
Seems good for bengali so far! I like the quizzing system. The only thing is it doesn’t have all the features for learning bengali, and as a complete beginner it doesn’t have the functions to learn the bengali alphabet and how to read it. But for what it has, it is good.
Duolingo is way better
This app is really annoying to use. There was no audio to learn words as a complete beginner. I was trying to learn Armenian which doesn’t look like English at all. I’m learning from scratch to try and surprise my bf who is Armenian. I don’t know what any of the symbols mean or anything so trying to memorise like 20 or more flashcards at a time of completely foreign concepts is way too much overload. As someone with an education degree I can tell you that’s not how our brains work. If Duolingo had Armenian as an option to learn I would have done that but alas I shall keep searching for an app that can actually teach Armenian well…

Incorrectly says I’m from the USA
My profile says I’m from the USA even though I’m the settings my language is set to “British English”. There is no way to correct this…
The developer responded that my IP is from the USA. However it’s not, this is a static IP assigned by a UK ISP for the past 18 months, their database is clearly out of date as my IP shows as being a UK IP in numerous online databases.

Hello, you IP address from USA, do you use VPN?
Errors in Burmese - modules can't be completed, no support
It's a great idea, and the app is good. But it has basic errors in the Burmese language modules that mean they can't be completed.
e.g. in module 1 it asks you to spell the word for Pear which is သစ်တော်သီး but it says you need to use 5 ် characters instead of the 2 that are in the word. That's it - from that point on, you can't pass the test and you can't progress.
The second module has the same problem for the word for a (clothes) top အပေါ်၀တ်, it expects 6 ် characters instead of 2.
I've emailed support and waited for weeks. I've submitted lots of errors in the app, but I've had no response at all.
It's incredibly frustrating. It's fundamentally a good app and one of the very few that include Burmese but there are basic errors that make it almost unusable, and there's no support. Such a shame.

Highly recommended!!!
I have been using this language learning app for a few weeks now and I am extremely impressed with its features and effectiveness. The app offers a wide range of languages to choose from and provides interactive lessons that are engaging and easy to follow. The audio exercises and quizzes have been particularly helpful in improving my pronunciation and vocabulary. I also appreciate the progress tracking feature that allows me to see how far I've come. Overall, I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to learn a new language efficiently and enjoyably.

Expensive but worth it!
This app has been so amazing to learn not just one but many other (rare/unpopular) languages. I use it daily - it has reminders, it has quizzes; listening and spelling of variety of words and phrases … even a live game play with other people from around the world. I will keep it as long as I can justify the price / its a monthly subscription and it’s sadly very expensive. It’s worth it, but expensive… 💰💰

Little mistakes but the best learning language app.
It’s been helping me learn Croatian so much. With phrases I basically had a conversation with my mother. However there are a few mistakes like you said hlače means underpants but it’s actually gače. Rather than that an amazing app (that you should spend your money on-it’s worth it!) and I totally recommend it. Plus it’s super fun and it’s easy to learn from failure to I might add.

Great to find an app that has Serbian!
Glad we found this app for my wife to start learning Serbian. Love the lessons and games and everything has been very accurate so far. App could use a tutorial of all the different sections and more guidance on what lessons to start and how to progress. Only other improvement could be expanding lessons ie. the fruits and vegetables repeats the same five items rather than covering more words to that you need to know.
Other than that a great app that is helping us a lot.
