App does not even load i,wouldn't trust this with my expensive drone.Much better options out there that work.

I use Drone Deploy as my main go to Mapping software. It is ridiculously easy to use and let’s you share and export at a click of a mouse. Over and above t he software the website is current and informed. I needed to chat through some options regarding a large mapping project and spoke directly with the support staff on a scheduled call (they called me!). Very knowledgable and not pushy. Really difficult to find fault. Maybe when creating a map there could be an option to increase the size in scale as opposed to pulling each point out and not necessarily getting a symmetrical shape? But that is a minor point. Well done DD keep up the great work.

Powerful yet simple
Having tried a few other similar packages using the trial period offer, I finally went with DroneDeploy. The application, it’s power and user interface, on iOS anyway, really has been thought through thoroughly, sure we all have niggles but I really can’t complain at all. Their website, regardless of purchasing or subscribing to the software is just a wealth of information on all areas of droning, I have learned so much about the industry, do’s and dont’s, different sectors and the uses for drones within. Really pleased with these guys, keep up the good work.

Confusing
I rated it five stars as I gather everyone else is using the app to its full potential, so the problem is most likely on my end. The idea behind it is certainly 5 stars, ease of use and simplicity (for me) not so much. I find it confusing to use - therefore, of no value to me. Give it a try, you might like it and hopefully you do.

Great customer support
App works great for the most part. Any problems I've had have been quickly corrected.
I really like DroneDeploy
I've been using DD just over a year a few times and apart from the sometimes hit-and-miss issues with the DJI drones, I have found it very useful. I'm hoping to win a contract soon whereby I can afford to upgrade, opening up a lot more options to me.
Overall I've given it a 4. A couple of small glitches but support is very helpful and fast to respond.

Crashing
Every time I tried to save the plan it crash to loading screen

Good on iPhone, unusable on iPad.
This works well on my iPhone 6s+ with few crashes but it's a different story on iPad; text disappears off screen, the app locks up and nothing works.
Regarding T&Cs and copyright issues, it's not relevant to me, I only use the app to capture the images and use different software to create the 3D images. As an image capture platform it is pretty good though....on iPhone.

Hi, Is your ipad using ios 10+? We've recently updated the requirements becasue iOS 9 was not working well for users.
Beware
Beware using this app.
Today we used it and 80% of the way into a job the app locked up leaving our drone continuing on its way with no telemetry or video feed. This meant it was stranded several hundred meters away and running low on power.
In the end we had to quit the app and hit the controller RTH.
We got it back just in time with 4% power and manually overriding its constant attempt to land.
This app could easily have meant the loss of our drone...
Think very carefully before using.

Hi, We've been working hard to resolve any issues with crashes or the app locking up. It's definitely scary when this happens and a drone is far away. Please reach out on http://forum.dronedeploy.com if you run into any other issues. Let us know if you try out the latest version and have a better experience.

Terms and conditions need to be clear at the out set of use and ownership of assets. The sharing of imagery and geometry created and/or the sale and notification of such sale to the IP owners.
Copyright needs to be with the person taking the images and geometry created from the images needs to be ownership of deploy drones.
Part ownership of assets between deploy drone and person/s recording media.
You cannot expect people to give away there time, cost of use of drone and fuel to power drone in exchange for the use of a free 3D mapping application which is limited.
