Love it but could be tweaked a tiny bit

Love me some GB.
Maybe a couple things that could make it outshine other apps and programs:
1. Make the map section downloadable with what you currently see on the screen so you can plot target and distances in the form of slides you can scroll thru.
2. Make an apple watch version that you can send your daily dope to a watch. This would allow you to have a current dope card that you can update as weather conditions change throughout the day.

Pretty good app

I enjoy the app. I do wish that rifle information that doesn’t change (sight height, barrel twist) could be saved as a “rifle” and combined with the ammo independently. It would make things a bit more flexible and easier to enter rather than going back to remember the exact measurements. Otherwise pretty good!

Geo Ballistics is Simply Better

Is my personal opinion GB beats them all even though others provide some other fancy bells and whistles. Simply put, Geo Ballistics matches exactly with the dope provided by Applied Ballistics. That to me is what defines excellence. One particular example, and a BIG ONE at that, is how it treats the calculations for Spin Drift and Coriolis by providing the needed azimuth of fire as a required input! some big name calculators out there, including JBM Ballistics which is the math engine GB uses, surprisingly don't include this needed parameter to be able to determine if we are adding or subtracting from our total dope! They would for instance, make the deviation from spin drift additive to your total dope when shooting due North with a cross wind @ 90deg on a barrel with a right hand twist! What in the world? 🤯🙈Are there other calculators out there that perform as well? Perhaps but I haven't found it in Apple store. If you match my Kestrel+AP, I trust you to know what you are doing. Otherwise go back to the drawing board and pick up a learning book.

If fan of vortex optics BUT NOT THIS APP

Terrible in layout, data sync and user friendliness.
Tried numerous times to set up rifle folders but overridden by "default" rifle each time.
Worst $22 I've spent
Lift your game Vortex or just stick to optics...

Wish I could set a map pin out of network

Haven’t had the chance to use this in the field yet, but I have it paired with my vortex rangefinder and all the features seem to work well. I was very excited to be able to set a map pin with the rangefinder, but not being able to download a map section makes that feature tough to use. Most my hunts are out of cell range so though it’s not critical, it would be nice to use the map outside cell coverage.

Response from developer

An excellent suggestion. We will be sure to review this possibility! -Team Vortex and GeoBallistics

Needs Additional MRAD Options

Elevation and Windage Offset should have option for MRAD as well as inches. May be other areas of the program that need this as well, but that is the first area I noticed it was missing.

Helped answer a lot of questions!

Finally found an app to help me accurately calculate trajectory, ballistics, and everything I need to know when shooting out beyond 500m. Highly recommend!

Love the App!

Love this app and the interface and ability to switch and change reticle etc. and the layout of the rifles / loads. That said could make a “dark” version too? Or at least use the system colors from the iPhone?

Great potential

Bought the Razor 4000 GB over a sig as I’m sick of the AB tax. So far I like the combo, but there are a few things I’d like to see to get the 5th star.

-Day/night color modes - must have for low light and anyone doing night time hunting.

-Apple Watch app, really nice to have my dope card on my wrist and have seen someone with it mounted on their rifle. The whole industry has under capitalized on wearables, so much more practical than a phone.

Needs new map

I gave 5 stars because the app works and is accurate ,but the locations where I use this app are not up to date …meaning I have to guess where I put my target based on ridges alone nothing visually there to justify where I put the pin because only tree tops are visible.
