Great user interface
I am new to V.O2 but really enjoying it for the past month. It interfaces seamlessly with my Garmin watch. It’s easy to follow for running workouts, even complicated track workouts. I like the communication with my coach through the app.
Great app
Love this app and its compatibility with the Garmin. I am easily able to transfer my Garmin information so that my coach can quickly see my results. The layers of information about my runs has been very helpful for me as well
Frustrating
It worked fine for a while. Now it frequently stops uploading my workouts to the app after I complete the workout. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app then Reconnect the Apple Watch app. Now I have just tried once again to do this and now not even that is working.
So hard to use
So if your coach assigns you a workout plan and you want to start a week later, there is no good way to move all the workouts. You have to move every. single. workout and every note in an 8-12 week period individually. It sucks. This app is not good. Also it doesn’t sync that well with major platforms.

Like Having A Personal Coach
The app is fantastic for establishing workout plans no matter what your fitness level. It’s somewhat adaptive in that you can add a race to the calendar and the program will adapt to prepare you for it. Syncs perfectly with Garmin and Coros watches to guide you on workouts. The only thing I’d like to see is an even more adaptive update that would actually increase speeds & mileage automatically based on past performance. Currently, you have to manually tell the app you’re ready to level up. Trainer Road does this very well as a cycling app, and I’d love to see V.O2 do the same.
If you have a coach, the app will allow your coach to upload workouts and make changes based on your performance, which makes this app sort of a one-stop-shop for your running career.
One thing I don’t really understand is why I have to mark workouts completed in the app when the app already syncs with my watch and has all the data from the workout I just completed. It already knows the workout is completed! Why isn’t this step automatic?
Overall, great app, simple and easy to use.

Fantastic!
So helpful … saves time … perfect
Great integration with Apple Workout App
Really appreciate that workouts are now automatically imported into the native workout app.
Close, but yet so far.
The phone app and the adaptive trainer plan is useful - though pricey. But the Watch App is useless without the ability to voice commands during Interval/Repetition training. Maybe they’ll eventually get around to it, but until then I’ll continue to use WorkOutDoors during training runs.
Apple Watch and Health Sync is broken
This is beta software.
They recently released an Apple Watch app. It only works if you force close both iPhone and watch apps and then open the iPhone app followed by the watch app. However it breaks as soon as your watch goes to sleep. They also offer Apple Health sync but it doesn’t work and never has. I don’t recommend using this platform if you use an Apple Watch. Their app is filled with bugs. If you connect to Strava it never says connected in the app but it will say connected in the browser leading users to confusion. They haven’t removed these features and so it’s important that users know this as what they advertise in the description is misleading and wrong. These features do not work.
I’d recommend trying a different coaching program.
