Reviews of Run With Hal

Great free app

The free version is a solid offer and you don’t necessarily need a paid subscription, which is rare these days. Good design, nice plans, with helpful tips for beginner runners.

Game changer

An experienced running friend highly recommended the Hal Higdon program to me and Hal’s book. I’m a former competitive college athlete and former runner but had a freak accident a few years ago that took me 3 years to recover. For a solid year I’ve been doing 5k races and it’s been excruciatingly hard and painful but I’ve kept at it. One year later, I’m stronger, fitter, and have lost 40 pounds. I want my stamina and endurance to improve including my running time. I have no trainer or program. My friend realized I was not conditioning myself properly, often running 7 days a week. I love the Hal method and I’ve already made a lot of progress toward my goal in a short period of time by following the program. Sometimes I still overdo it because I’m competitive but the coaching staff and advice are always on point. FOLLOW THE PROGRAM. I guarantee you won’t be let down. The only reason I’m not giving your app 5 stars is because it doesn’t connect with my Apple Watch. I don’t own a garmin. I hope maybe someday you’ll upgrade the app so us Apple Watch users can easily connect to the app. Thank you Hal Higdon!

Fantastic running app

I am using this app to support me with a plan to run my half marathon. It’s very clear and easy to use, and the plan is personalised and well thought-out. I wouldn’t know where to start without it! Definitely recommend if you’re looking to get into running, or are working towards a running goal. Thank you!
