Some Minor Fixes
This would be the perfect app. Please allow a setting to duplicate Quality Session workouts and all other types of runs.
For the Quality Session workouts it takes forever to reprogram them in.
Sometimes my Garmin doesn’t sync with the correct workout. This is particularly frustrating not only because there’s no way to inform the VO2 app that my Garmin run was associated with the wrong workout/run but there’s also no way to duplicate that workout without having to reprogram the whole workout back in again which can take awhile.
Just make it so you can easily duplicate workouts without having a run attached to the duplicate and allow users to detach a Garmin run from a workout or set that Garmin run to the correct workout.
Easily could have given 3 stars for these frustrating issues though. These are big issues that need to be fixed. They are the reasons I no longer subscribe for it to create self workouts for me. I can’t easily duplicate workouts or change a Garmin run to the correct workout once it’s wrongly associated it with another run.
Fix these two issues and the app will be incredible and I will change my review to 5 stars.

Missing common sense
15mile quality days seem to be a norm. Eg 15x2min off 1min with 30min wu and 30min cd. Easy days..run 22min .
Connected to my coach
VDOT keeps me and my coach closely synced. Through integrations with Garmin it helps push my planned workouts to my watch and can receive workout results for my coach to see in VDOT.
The VDOT score based pacing ensures I’m training at a personalized level.

Great APP
Overall this app provides a good platform to track workouts, especially the running. Do wish it had the ability to track weight training in more detail but not a big deal.
Meeeh
Nothing special. Quite complex to operate and annoying way to add data. Couple of bugs
Nothing that your garming cannot give you

After 3 days no sync from Strava anymore
I was quite amazed first but then it stopped syncing from Stava after 3 days. I was thinking about signing up for a paid sub but not after this. No resolution no response from the developer.
Fabulous Coach
The quality of my coach is brilliant who pointed me to this forum where we chat. Excellent.
Great app!
I really enjoy getting detailed workouts, videos, feedback from my coach and the ability to track my progress and fitness all in one app. It also syncs with Strava and Garmin. My only wish is that it also could sync with RunKeeper. Really useful for anyone training and trying to improve their fitness!

Dream for interval running
This app solves the absence of strong interval tools in more popular services like MapMy. There’s a lot of sophistication around run design, with great audio cues based on time and distance. Really complex routines are easy to plan. I can’t imagine interval training without it. The coaching plans are good, especially if you run year-round and get bored with rote schedules.
A few minor complaints:
1. I think the GPS is short. My intervals often appear unrealistically fast. When comparing the same run in much more wifey used and monitored running apps, V.02 seems to sometimes register a mile in as little as 0.91 miles. I don’t think that’s a problem for routine training, but may harm target training for races.
2. The UI remains kludgy. Creating a “library” of intervals ends up being messy because, for example, I’ve had to create a bunch of 800m intervals with different target paces and recovery times.
3. The Apple Watch app is junky. The primary thing I imagine most runners want during an interval is the remaining time or distance. I haven’t figured out how to make that the dominant visual element, or to stop my podcast app from taking precedence on the display. This is not a problem with MapMy, so it is solvable.
What I’d really love is to see MapMy or another major running app pay the V.02 team a zillion dollars for their great work and then integrate this tech into their better-designed interface.
