It's upside down. so annoying.

It's upside down. so annoying. now I have to remove the game from my keyboard or just play it unbalanced. It's upside down. so annoying. It's upside down. so annoying. It's upside down. so annoying. It's upside down. so annoying.

Good so far with caveats

It's a shame there are still leftovers from the PC version. Keyboard shortcuts, full screen mode (irrelevant for iPad) and low resolution fonts and assets.

I feel like I'm running in a PC/Mac emulator. That's not good enough for a game this price.

LOVE IT!!! but...

I love this game! There's a lot to do in this game and I've already put so many hours into this. The only flaw is that it doesn't auto-rotate. Everything else is fantastic. Just add a patch to fix that rotating problem

Devilishly good!

Positives:
+ Can be played in short bursts or long sessions.
+ seems made for touch screen.
+ blends RPG, rouge like, and puzzles.
+ quirky humor and artwork with personality.
+ randomized for infinite replay-ability.
+ sense of progression though town building, opening different types of characters and races, as well as learning new strategies.
+ cloud saves and cross platform play if you own it on another platform (I don't but kudos for including it).

Negatives:
- screen locked in one direction. A bummer but not a deal breaker.
- seriously biting into my Witcher 3 time...

Great game

Plays well on the iPad. Fun game on the PC, but it's perfectly suited for touch controls. My only complaint is that the graphics on both versions need an update. Would love to see higher resolutions.

Great game, but crashes

I love this game! I own it on PC, too. Gameplay-wise, this game is easily 5 stars.

But in its current state, this game crashes... A lot! In the couple hours I've played, it's crashed three times, once right after completing a rather difficult dungeon (and if you've played this game, you know how challenging that can be). And then the game crashed and I had to start the dungeon over again.

Also, the screen seems flipped and won't rotate so I can't play with my iPad stand. And the game resets if you minimize it for more than a couple seconds. These things NEED to be patched into game.

TL;DR: Great game, bad application (in current state)

Upside Down

As the other reviewer noted this app is programmed in the wrong orientation. Anyone using a keyboard case/stand has the game upside down with no ability to rotate it.

You guys did it.

You have officially sucked all of my time away in one nice port of a game I started playing in 2012 with alpha 0.15. Well done.

Super, rogue, puzzler

Great game, rogue puzzler, with lots of depth very addictive and a sense of humour. Each level is a puzzle in itself, creatures are static and vary in levels you work through them in order using buffs, spells and items to eventually beat the boss. Highly recommend it, unable to put it down, not been this engrossed since FTL.

It's upsidedown

I want to like this game. On PC it got me into Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup back in the day. I know it'll be great once bugs are worked out.

But it's upside-down and won't turn over, and my Ipad case/keyboard only works one way.

Will 5 star for a game that plays right-side up.
