Won’t Shut Up
This thing is the most miserable backseat driver I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It goes off 6 times for every turn. It tells you to turn when there is no turn. It doesn’t tell you to turn when there is. It tells you not to turn. It just won’t shut up. Usually. Sometimes it just stops giving verbal directions for no reason, and you don’t notice until you’ve gone 20 miles past your exit.

Two major flaws
It’s been over two years since I reported this to Sygic and was told it would be passed on to their developers, but nothing has happened. Issue 1) the motorhome’s speed display is badly designed and impossible to safely read when you are driving. Issue 2) my motorhome is over 3500 kg AND in the UK we tow a tow-car, so on motorways the speed limit is 60mph and on single carriageways it is 50mph but the speed limit display only shows the speed limit for motorhomes below 3500 kg. This makes the speed limit warning feature useless. I just purchased the car play upgrade bundle but it makes no difference. How useless.

Hopeless!!
This app is hopeless. I’ve purchased the caravan premium pack, finally got it working to find that even after the latest update, CarPlay DOES NOT WORK! I just get a message saying to install properly on my iPhone - when it is already correctly installed and working (on the phone at least!) The standard Sygic “camper” premium version works fine on both iPhone, iPad & CarPlay. Frequent e-mails back & forth over a period of months have been equally unhelpful, with constant reminders to purchase the app already purchased. Not recommended at all until all this is fixed.

Truck
Good nav program could’ve been improved by showing current speed and updating the screen more quickly if selected route is not followed. This is using CarPlay

Paid for this some time ago not realising no CarPlay. Now it claims to.
Works on phone but I lose phone display when I switch on CarPlay device. And I get nothing on the CarPlay device. I’ve deleted and reloaded on both devices which is the only advice in the support documentation. .
The basic Sygic app does work with CarPlay, so the problem is clearly related specifically to this version of the app. And plenty of people report the same problem so I’d expect the developer to have added any solution to their support pages.
I mailed the address that the developer tells you to use, but that just provokes an automated response linking to the support documentation. Absolutely no use at all.
The route finding doesn’t look any better than I’m getting off another App which doesn’t cost me.
It’s also linked to the specific device you used to buy it, so changing phone is a problem. You’re told to use original one.
Complete waste of money, and I’m not going to waste more of my life trying to get it to work.

Rubbish
Absolute terrible app, completely dangerous, do not buy, waste of money.
Purchased app for routing with our caravan, 1st route, roads were totally unsuitable. Even though entered correctly dimensions, etc of both car and caravan, roads narrower than caravan were routed by this app, wider roads ignored unless removed caravan dimensions, then larger roads selected. Sent in support feedback via app, no response, no change to mapping. Tried to obtain refund as first use proved unfit for purpose and no response. Very poor and as I mentioned totally dangerous. Have now purchased Copilot for caravan and 100% better, confirm road types and vehicle dimensions with far better routing. Appears Sygic is just relying on user feedback of poor data to expand data which should already been known if this is to route for truck and caravans.
Unless you enjoy being sent down inappropriate country lanes that you can not get through and want the challenge of backing your caravan out to the main roads as no ability to turn around then this app is definitely not for you.
Remove it from App Store or sort it out. Poor to not even acknowledge request for refund of a product unfit for purpose.

Won’t work on CarPlay
I purchased the premium lifetime package but when I try to use it with CarPlay I won’t load past a message saying to finish setting up on my device first. I have put in a support request but heard nothing back. It’s a pity as it works well with the features for caravan but useless if you can’t have CarPlay. I guess like others I will have to try to get a refund.
Update: I have logged a ticket and followed up 3 times. I strongly suggest you do not buy as they have not even responded to my ticket beyond an automated response.

Good app for caravans
This is a good app for directions incorporating my caravan dimensions and reduced speed limit. It wasn’t clear, but I had to purchase an additional Premium for CarPlay via the European website. It’s not as intuitive as the Sygic Car app.
So far - not good!
Hopefully the developers will read and respond - as there appears to be no way of contacting them directly to ask questions

On my first journey the voice cuts off, it also silences the radio apart from just before announcing the next direction - the radio plays for one second, then the directions are made which are cut off before completing - then silence
The road speeds are wrong - app was reporting 60mph for 50 and 30 for 20, these have been set at this speed limit for many months if not years - so no reason for it to be wrong
The voice cannot be changed in the free version - is this correct? It sounds like some sort of mass murderer - like the voice from “Saw” which is a bit off putting.
Overall not a good start. Hopefully the developers will respond and all will be good - if not then I’m onto Co-Pilot as this seems to get all the above right.

Solid maybe
The visuals on the phone are great. The lane assist is helpful and the side display of upcoming gas stations and rest stations is a bonus. The voice is very robotic and a bit annoying. The plug in to Apple play is ok. Not sure it was worth it rig but now. The screen display is not as helpful as the app view. It doesn’t have the up coming rest and gas stations, plus it disables the view on the phone. Hopefully they keep improving it.
