  • Disappointing not accurate not even close

Not accurate Steps and distances are just wrong and wrong by a lot. Rainy day, sitting on the couch, playing Xbox, must’ve moved my wrist too much, has me at over 3 miles and 12,000 steps guess I need to get up and get a drink because I must be thirsty after walking that far. Sorry, it just doesn’t work.

Hello, All activity trackers use an accelerometer which is a motion-detector to sense movement which is then used to estimate steps taken. If the device is located on your wrist and you move you wrist steadily the device will detect this motion and express as steps. Our devices do have a "false-step filter" which identifies non-step motion like talking with your hands, driving in a car, etc but an activity like video gaming where constant wrist motion is involved will generate step data. Simply removing the tracker while gaming will solve the issue.
  • since the update

    my app keeps crashing. 😢
  • Yoo RX

Everything seems to work well, with the exception of the inability to use alarm feature. App crashes every time you click alarm.
  • Restart

Every time there is an Apple update you will have to start all over. you will lose all of your data and it will be like you were starting fresh. that is a very disappointing thing when you have put in a lot of miles.

Hi, Apple updates should not impact the app or your data. It is important to not delete the app and reinstall however. Best, YOO Fitness
  • Not great

It won’t let me sign in
  • Will not sync

I have restarted my device, Bluetooth, and app multiple times with no success.
  • Doesn’t sync

    Lousy
  • Not accurate

As I understand it, I’m supposed to wear this throughout the day. I hit the track on my way to work so it’s going to be with me whether I have it in or not. The problem is, driving makes the step count go up. I walked a mile at the track and did walk quite a bit at work, but I drive a lot. I seriously doubt today I walked anywhere near the eight miles it says I did.
Also, there’s no way to set the alarm. Clicking on “alarm” only crashes the app

Hi, When we have customers that comment on extra steps generated from non-step motion we like to explain how "false step filtering" works because it helps to explain questions about accuracy. When step-trackers used to be clipped to a waistband they were better positioned to detect steps. But as consumer preference moved the devices to the wrist manufacturers had to make adjustments because hand/wrist motion isn't the same as "steps". So devices from all brands include what is called a "False-Step Filter". This is logic programmed into the software that requires the sensors to detect a certain number of consecutive steps (or small movements) before confirming that walking is actually taking place. This filters out non-step motion like talking with your hands, brushing your hair, stirring a pot, etc. But it is specifically required to ensure vibrations from driving or riding in a car are not recorded as steps. For YOO Fitness we set the false-step filter at 20 consecutive steps (or consecutive movements). When the false-step threshold is met the band will credit that activity back to step one. All brands set their false-step threshold differently. Some devices are programmed at 10 while others at 30 or even 40 steps. That's why it's difficult to compare devices. We don't have a method to adjust the filter threshold on individual bands but we have tested sensitivity at many levels and as important as it is to filter out excessive steps its also important that we don't under-count which is why we ultimately settled on 20. Typically driving movements are filtered out 99% of the time so hopefully it was a rare and non-repeated occurence. Lastly, the Alarm issue was corrected so should be a non-issue. Best, YOO Fitness
  • Not syncing

I have the Yoo R2 and followed the directions to sync and it’s not going through. Is there another way to sync it? So frustrating

    Developer Response

Hi, The R2 is not a Bluetooth device and was not designed to sync with smart phones. The R2 is a digital pedometer. Best, YOO Fitness
