  • I like the app, but it needs work.

Aesthetically pleasing and calm vibes come from this app, but I have encountered a few issues and have some suggestions. I reached out to customer service and Angie clarified a few things - the 'current plan' is the one that will show upon opening the app and when clicking the 'First 5' button on the bottom toolbar, however wish that wasn't the case. I feel it would be more beneficial for the plan that shows upon app opening should be the one the user is currently following. The current plan isn't relative to me at this moment and feel that in order to keep the app as close to the heart as possible it should allow for more customization. The app also defaults to the ESV, but it would be a lot more user friendly if all throughout the app the version displayed would be the one selected in the options menu rather than the pre-selected one. Again, takes away from the customization feel of it all. Lastly, the app is glitchy! Sometimes I come to a white, blank screen and other times the app is far outstretched to where the wording is cut off. I have to force close and reopen that app to try and load it correctly; I shouldn't have to restart my entire device as suggested. So, it's safe to say that the app needs stabilization and am considering deleting and possibly redownloading at a later time. I genuinely enjoy the feel of the app and am hopeful for fixes, but it's too wonky at the moment.

  • Amazing!!!! Highly recommend!!!

I could not love this app more! First 5 is so easy to use, very beginner friendly, and beautifully formatted! Every weekend there is a 15 min discussion over the past weeks “lessons” and every week day there is a chapter to read and a detailed overview on it. There is also a spot for you to join bible groups to learn even more about His Word. And the best part - NO IN-APP PURCHASES!! Everything is free and there are no fees for anything. The best app I have ever downloaded!!!!!!!

  • DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER IF YOU ARE A MINOR

This app doesn’t state that you have to be 18+ to have an account unless you look far into their terms of use. It needs to be much clearer because I’m extremely sad that I can’t talk to and pray for and encourage any of the people that I connected with on the app because I’m a minor. And multiple other people I met who were also minors were very very confused. Please make this easier to see from the sign up page because frankly most people aren’t going to read enough of the terms of use to find this unless they are looking for it.

  • I love this, and I'm not one to complain, but…

As much as I love this physical reminder to dig deeper into the Bible and the Proverb 31 Team’s motivations for creating this app, I do think that this app is unnecessarily difficult to navigate. Another thing I'd like to request is the option to hear the daily devotions through audio and not just the weekend stuff. Usually, when we get a free moment, it's when we are doing something mind-numbing dull like laundry or dishes. Clue the audio version of the First 5 app stuff. At this moment, between these two things would be great.

  • Love this app but no longer visible

I’ve been using this app for quite some time and love the daily devotions and Bible studies, but unfortunately the app is no longer visible on my iPhone or iPad. I open the app and there is only a white screen. I’ve tried removing and reloading the app, I’ve even tried opening it via the web address and not the app but still just a white screen. Hoping this will be fixed soon because I miss my daily devotions.

  • Great content, frustrating app

I have only had this app for a week or so. Every time I try to launch the app to read the devo it won’t load. It is frozen. If I leave it alone it will eventually load but it takes half an hour. I choose this devo because it is on my phone and supposed to be easy and quick. Unfortunately, it’s been none of those. I’m bummed because I really want to go through these studies and devotions.

  • Problems on iPad since update

I’ve loved this app for years. It is intuitive, has a great interface with the Logos online bible, has terrific features for note taking, diving deeper, and accountability. It suddenly refuses to open on my iPad. I suspect it has to do with the latest iPad iOS update. I can still use the web version, but prefer the app. Hope this gets fixed.

  • Really lovely app

It is clear that this app was made very thoughtfully and with love. Beautifully designed, easy to use/navigate. Also really enjoy the “40 Days Thru the Bible” plan. The lessons are organized well and each has a very powerful and straightforward message. Thank you to proverbs 31!
  • App is great however...

I am currently giving this app 1 start, even though I love the app and it deserves 6 stars.

The problem is, My Moments do not display in my own profile unless I am posting in the current study that the group, First Five, is doing.

They are my moments, intimate moments with God that I can't review for my own growth. Is this the purpose of this app? Personally growth in my relationship with God? Or is it to just be doing the current study?

There are so many good studies and it is a shame that what is personal ins not important just need to conform to what the works or First Five want you to do... This kind of goes against the premise of First Five, right?

I how this note or review is looked at, considered Anda changed as the other personal and helpful items like bookmarks, notes, etc. continue to display whatever I post in the app.

  • Confusing app interface

The idea behind this app is great, but in my opinion it isn't executed well. The app is confusing to navigate. Plus if you skip a couple days of reading, the next time you resume a plan it will automatically jump to the day you "should" be on, rather than taking you to the next consecutive reading plan, thus leaving gaps of unread days in between. I really wanted to live this app, but I will be returning the the Bible app for my Bible studies.
