Beautiful, free bible study app
This is such a beautiful app. My main parameter when looking for a devotions app was to find one that was 1. Free and 2. Let me study on my own time and at my own pace. This app does both.
The First 5 app is user friendly and has chapter-by-chapter studies. There is a “plan” tab where you can study the chapter you want. There are new chapter studies added every week day & one added for the weekend.
There are also a few pretty lock screen pictures with verses.Show lessaud_jones

This app is amazing ! I’ll list a few reasons , 1. It’s absolutely beautifully designed aesthetically
2. It organizes plans based off similar books
In the Bible together for instance ( Ezra / Nehemiah ) is one plan
3. It teaches Gods word verse by verse which I love since my church does that too and it makes less room for error since you are following along
4. There’s a community that you can see other people’s stories
5. I have a hard time reading the Bible on my own time and this has encouraged me to reading so much more because they go in depth and I learn so much !!

I love this app!
This is such a great app! The plans take you through books of the Bible chapter by chapter and then there is a relevant teaching about each chapter. You can highlight and add notes. There is a community of women to encourage you and share their journeys with you. This has helped me to get back into reading God’s word consistently.Show lessFluf44444444
Great Content.... Functionality?
Content wise the application provides excellent information. However, there are no settings available for fonts or night reading mode. It’ll be great to be able to adjust font to the likes of the reader and switch from day reading (light) to night (dark) theme mode. If these could be added I’ll definitely give you 5 stars. I know the goal of this app is first 5, our first 5 minutes of our day, but what about the last 5 minutes too? ThanksShow lessKarl Camacho
Best way to start my day with God's word!
I use this app every day but Sunday, but that is how it is set up. I attend church on Sunday. It is how I start my day, up early to spend alone time in God's word. I like the variety, with different writers and the accuracy with a team of researchers going over what we read to be sure it is reflecting God's word.
I love this app so much I just started a small group study in the app with some local women. We are studying Proverbs and I just had to share with others. Thank you for the creativity and insight. Thank you for sharing it with us.Show lessRls1958
Wishing for a podcast for weekly teaching!
I can’t find anywhere to leave a suggestion regarding the first 5 app. I’m wondering if there would ever be a consideration to creating a podcast for the weekend content? I have a hard time remembering go in and listen in a different app but would 100% listen if it dropped into my podcast feed! Review wise I love the app and the devotionals. It is a great touchstone to start your day with. The study on Leviticus was my favorite so far and I’ve never enjoyed reading that book before!Show lessMonkeyshiners
Great content and easy to use format, but too long for my hectic days.
I love the content, easy to use format and beautiful visuals. However, the daily devotional are too long for me. I prefer the short and to the point devotional like Jesus Calling, that are short and sweet, but get a powerful message across. Then I can spend my time in prayer and listening to God, instead of spending the entire time reading. I wish there were different options for lengthy and short devotional for different needs.Show lessAimer125

I found first 5 through a friend at church about three years ago.
I don’t even like Apps - but this is life changing. I have been using first 5 for 3 years and have grown so much with God. I wouldn’t be where I am in my relationship with God if it weren’t for first 5 and Proverbs 31 (Ministry that operates first 5).

Amazing Devotional App
Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful app. You won’t regret downloading it!! I have tried many devotional apps over the years and I can say without hesitation that this is my all-time favorite. Just what I need each morning!
I love this app! I have been using it consistently for 2 years....every day! It’s easy to open up the app find your devotion for the day. It’s goes chapter by chapter each day for a book of the Bible. I use the Bible Gateway app and have the chapter for the day read to me in dramatized version so I know who is talking. I then love to dig deep on how God is speaking to me trough this chapter and the devotion written on the app. You can go really deep and read the more section and look up all the verses. I love the comments section as well. People mostly women comment by answering the question of the day as to what God taught them through this. This is one of my favorite parts because you learn you are not alone in your relationship with God and other people have struggles and victories as well!
