So easy to use!

Been using this for a while now with some friends when we work out together at home. Love the level of customisation without being difficult to setup. The voice prompts and related options are amazing!

Like most of it

Rather easy to use and straight forward. Was looking for exactly something like this.
Some UX isn't as intuitive as it could be (e.g. if you're editing the count down and voice over options there's no save button, so you're left wondering if your changes actually took hold).
What really annoyed me though is that it says "double tap to skip" and that that's simply a lie. Double tapping doesn't do anything. And skipping something would really be a nice option.

Hey there! Thanks for the feedback, especially about the absence of a “save” button. As for skipping, you can double-click or tap on the current interval to skip it after starting the workout. Additionally, there’s an arrow skip icon in the top right corner of the interval that you can click to skip as well! If you encounter any trouble, feel free to email me, and I’d be more than happy to help you personally!

Robust, but usability issues

This is a robust and feature-filled workout tracker and timer, but it has some usability issues and existing features could use a little refinement. It will probably be great for most users, and certainly seems better than all the competition.

Much improved

I had some issues way back with the app crashing. The deeloper reached out, identiied the issues and fixed them. Very nice app now that it's working properly.

Almost perfect!

Excellently designed. Customisable to suit your requirements. Elegant UI.

I would like to see the ability to;

Optionally extend the 3 second count into each exercise.

When starting a workout to go straight to the large countdown screen.

The ability to implement your own colour scheme. (I loathe red)

Wonderful App - Worth upgrading - No regrets

This is by far the best workout timer on the App Store. It is EXTREMELY customizable and beyond that doesn’t get weighed down by the customization options. The interface is very intuitive. I appreciate how the app can read out the name of the upcoming exercise and tell you how much time is remaining. Moreover, you can even change the voice to whatever you want — I played around with readings with a French or German accent which were funny. Go with this app, you won’t regret it.

BTW - Reading the other reviews:
- Crashing: I have not had any issues of the app crashing personally.

- Cost: I too was a little bummed when I hit my 5 exercise limit per month. I tried to find something better and really there is none…. Which brought me back to the value which this app brings me and how much time I would have saved if I just paid for a membership/1 time purchase rather than trying to find something better. All things considered, 1 dollar a month or 10 dollars a year is beyond reasonable (alternatively 25 for lifetime access). How much would a monthly gym membership cost you? A beverage from the store? It is possible that you’ll be using the app for a couple hours a week, if not a month, so why not chip in to the single developer who is making your life easier with this app?

Great for my use case

I wanted something that was highly customizable. On the discovery of the text based editing feature, where editing complex timers and workouts saves so much time, I was sold and decided this was a 5 star rather then a 4 star.

Bella ma con qualche miglioria diventa perfetta

Ottima app per pianificare ed effettuare i propri allenamenti.
Sincronizza i dati via cloud sugli altri device (iphone, ipad, mac).

Grazie!

Good workout tool

I made workouts in the app from a workout plan I found online and it works great. The Apple Watch app is nice for keeping me on track without having to look at my phone all the time.

Love it!

This app is great for transforming workouts I’ve written in my notes app to real workouts that track my progress and time. It’s clean and easy to use as well!

Crashes frequently

I have two main issues with the app:
1) When I click "view completed workouts" and scroll through them, the page refreshes every 15 seconds or so, so I have to scroll through them quickly to find the one I want, and click it before it refreshes.
2) The app crashes (i.e. closes and pops an error report) during workouts frequently enought for me to be annoyed. Maybe every third workout.

Whenit works, it's great! But these two annoying factors have me looking at alternatives.

Hello! Thank you for letting me know about these things. I was able to find and fix your #1 and the update is out now. I have not been able to reproduce any crashes, so I added more sophisticated crash logging in this update as well that should give me some data in the coming days as people use the app. If you have more details about your crashes or any additional feedback, I would love it if you emailed me at shannon@abitworkout.com

Great Workout Tool

This app is super clean and easy to use. I am able to make really custom complex workouts in minutes. The text to speech is my favorite part!

Ok but not easy to learn.

Needs better instructions. It’s not very intuitive how to set up the desired intervals and reps.
The voice announcements do a good job of text to voice.

Training

gut: Benennung der Übungen
verbesserungsfähig: bei Start des Trainings 5 Sekunden runterzählen.
am Ende jeder Übung 3 Sekunden runterzählen.
Das es eine Kauf App ist besser kennzeichnen.

Response from developer

Hallo! Diese Funktionen sind bereits in den Trainingseinstellungen vorhanden. Haben Sie ein Problem damit? Bitte senden Sie eine Feedback-E-Mail von der App, damit ich helfen kann. Danke!

Great app except for one thing

It’s a really simple and clean app to navigate, and I love that you can choose between number of reps or time in seconds. I also love the text to speech feature. I just have one gripe with the app: the subscription service. I hate subscription services, especially when this one limits the amount of workouts you can make. I would totally prefer to pay a one time fee. It’s a great app overall though.

Great app for making routines

I use it to do my morning routine, and I love it! The voice instruction is my favorite feature.

Really enjoying it so far.

Very clear and stream forward UI. Perfect if you want to creat your own workouts.

It's like the creator got inside my head!

I am constantly aware that none of my ideas are original. I have no idea of how to implement them. This is exactly what I have been looking for in a timer app! You've done a great job! This app is easy to use. I love creating my own workouts and sharing them to my workout group. Thank you!
Now if only the basic features that I enjoy in the free trial were still free after five uses.
