Great concept but unusable
I was really excited to find this app. I loved gamifying any task I can so this was right up my ally. The app itself is simply laid out and seems incredibly intuitive. That said, after downloading I was only able to log a single meal. When trying to add another I was forced into a prompt to try the premium service with no way to decline. This means you would have to buy a subscription in order to utilize this in any meaningful way, which is incredibly frustrating. Users shouldn’t need to have a trial subscription in order to see if they actually would enjoy the product.

Fun but not for everyone
I really like the gamification, picture log, and weight tracker but the rest of the app didn’t fit my needs. I am on keto, and while calorie tracking is important, I would have preferred the option to track carbs instead. You can add foods to the meal tracker, but it takes time for foods to be added and it is frustrating when most of what you eat has to be input manually (other apps I have used have a much larger food database). This app is promising but the features didn’t meet my needs enough to justify the $8.99 a month subscription.

Terrible App- Sneaky CEO
I had the CEO contact me via my Instagram weight loss page for a paid collaboration. They required me to download the app and send them some information. I did not hear back from them after that, even after I tried contacting them back numerous times. It seems this is a shady and probably illegal way of gaining downloads. Too bad I will be letting all my followers and friends know this app is garbage. Beyond the sneakiness there is literally nothing you can do in the app. It is a glorified digital paperweight.

Good idea, but broken
I was tempted to rate this a 2, but I like the idea and I think the app could greatly improve. However, customer service response wasn’t too promising... anyway, I like the design and gamification concept (they basically ripped off the Duolingo aesthetic, from the icons and graphics to the app UI, which I’m happy with). However, the app is basically broken and it’s currently not worth the cost. Compare the library of foods you can look up to that of the completely free MyFitnessPal app and you will see why that is a better option than Able. Manually having to enter in items is a chore, but furthermore the app won’t let you actually add custom items if they don’t have a bar code. To me, that’s literally a game-breaking flaw. An app like this should be free in its current state. I hope the developers add an easier way to log custom meals and food items. If this app had the massive food database that MyFitnessPal did, it would be the best weight loss app around.

Many great recipes for weight loss
I like the selection of recipes in this app. Most are simple and don't use too many ingredients. A big plus for me that they're specifically made for weight loss.
